Does the tuner save your factory tune? I know that the Bama tuner saves your stock tune so that you are able to revert to stock, but can ths tuner do the same?

    • The Ford Racing ProCal Calibration tool will also save the factory tune like the Bama tuner.

Is it best to buy this package or each part individually? Also how great is that Tuner? Question speaks for itself. ^

    • In my opinion, over a longer period of time, you will be disappointed with that tuner. Bama SCT tuners are by far the best in quality and you have free tunes for life. So no matter what mod you plan on doing in the future, you can have a tune specifically for that mod so you can get the absolute most performance gains out of it. also, the "bundles" or packages usually come out to the same as if you buy them separately. Idk about this kit though and what it comes with and how much it costs. but going with an sct tuner is definitely the way to go. I have the Bama SCT ITSX tuner and its on heck of a device. just plug 'n play my friend. you see everything before your eyes. Best thing is, you know your paying good money for a GOOD product. Backed by their free tunes for life, whats not to love? Hope this helps.

Does this need a tune or not?

Does everything needed come with this kit to convert from single to dual? i.e. headers

    • This will come with the x-pipe to the tips for the exhaust. This does not come with headers. It is still considered a complete true dual exhaust kit.

I have had this for performance package for over 2 years now, it’s for sure quicker than stock. Out of every combination package or “tune” this one is the best match for the 2005-09 mustang v6. It’s not overkill on the exhaust, sounds modest. It’s not a v8 and it will never be one. I took it to the track and it ran 14.6. My car is a convertible, so have in mind on paper it’s “heavier,” I raced a 2006 hard top v6 mustang, difference is he had sr intake, and sct tuner, he never hit in the 14’s he was consistently in the low 15’s. My message to you is go stick with Ford performance. You will have to run 91 atleast in it.

      Bullitt V6!!!

This kit comes with the Bullitt mufflers! Much nicer than the stock GT set up. All in all, a complete Ford Racing system that will really put the whip to your V6 pony. It really brought my cayuse, with 112k miles, back to life.

      A bit disappointed

Didn't have the throaty sound then I expected. I do have a six cylinder I wasn't expecting to sound like a V-8 but it's still rather quiet

All parts are stamped by FORD however, this product is NOT made by FORD. The exhaust bolted up fairly easily, the toughest part is cutting out the exhaust tips, that took about an hour and a half, but as you can see, it came out PERFECT! At a bare minimum you want to run 91 Octane, I have noticed a substantial increase in gas mileage and as far as stepping on the gas pedal for performance, IT GOES! Great product, not too loud, and the performance is there, and very noticeable.

      Love it!

I am so glad I went with this pack. Was getting ready to go after market but glad I didn't. My muffler guy said the quality of Fords steel is far more superior to what any aftermarket puts out and should last about 20 years. They also make sure your Procal Tuner is tuned the right way. Ford knows there are doing. Besides the quality it just looks and feels great. I can feel the power increase. It's not as loud as I hoped it to be while in car, but outside you can defiantly hear it, and it's a good quality sound doesn't sound cheap. I also get allot more stares. Only thing I didn't like was that when the package came it didn't have the Procal Tuner in it and that's because you have to register your purchase with Ford first then they send you your Procal. Couldn't install the cold air intake without the tuner so I had to drive around for a few days with just the pipes installed. Other than that I totally recommend this product.

      I'm diggin' it!

This kit woke the Pony up! Some of the throttle lag is gone, the transmission feels a lot better, and it made the car feel stronger overall. This is how Ford should have built the car in the first place! The fit is great, the included metal inserts with stainless fasteners finish it off the rear bumper really nice. It's not as loud as I thought it would be which isn't necessarily a bad thing. There is no drone in the car,so it is a great for a daily driver. Highway fuel economy has gone up, but with the higher TC lockup speed, city economy has gone down. Overall economy is roughly the same though. It would be better with the original TC lockup settings, but as it is, it's a lot more fun to drive.

      Solid Product

Went together smoothly. Didn't even have to loosen pipes at manifold. I got the cut centered good and the X pipe went right on with ease. Templates for cutting the bumper were perfect. The CAI went on in 15 minutes. The program was a little tricky but once you figure it out you just had to be patient for it to load. Oh, the easiest way to get the new pipes over the axle was to jack the body up after you have the axle in the air on jack stands. The sound is good yet not annoying( I,m well past having headaches listening to loud mufflers). There is a true performance increase at 3000 rpm's up and I don't have to worry about engine life. Makes the V6 fun.

      Power gain, but too quiet

Had a good power gain, but the mufflers are way too quiet for my taste. Did have to modify the exhaust slightly to fit, but I think you have to expect that. CAI was easy to install. In addition to the power gain, also picked up a few MPG after install. Overall good value. Will probably upgrade to a better tuner at a later date, so that I don't always have to use 91 octane fuel.

      Enhanced Power and Performance

Buying the combined package saved money, which is always good. For someone like me that is not mechaniclly inclined or has not done this before, it should say some where in big letters you had to register your car's part number before they send the chip for the tuner. It was a short delay in getting it installed. It was at my house with in a day or two. My mechanic installed the system and my husband picked it up and tested it out. He then called me and I knew by the ecxitment in his voice he was impressed with the performence and increase in power . It was also an increase in gas mileage. Keep in mind that you will want to run higher octane gas in it, is the only draw back but now the price of gas is going down. Would defiantely recommend this product.

      FRPP 07 V6

So I was really tired of having a single exhaust and Y pipe on my mustang, and for everything that comes here I figured why not give it a shot. For the exhaust: Installation was a lot easier than I expected, took me and another person about three hours to do it all using only jacks, jack stands, and ramps. Be aware that you will need rather large jacks to get old pipes out and the new pipes in, something you definitely want to be sure of before you cut into your pipes. The manual says that if clearance is an issue you can cut the pipe to get it off, but I don't know how one would put the new pipes in. Interestingly the mufflers have a small tit towards the end connecting to the pipe that slides into the pipe, but the passenger side didn't fit at all. Comparing it to the old muffler the position is way off, and actually made it impossible to fit the muffler onto the pipe! We had to take a grinder and completely grind it away. Occassionally I get a rather audible rattle from the passenger exhaust through the body, but it is only heard inside the car when the windows are up and the radio is low (resonating throughout the body). I'll have to look into that and see what can fix it. The sound is great, it's not a V8 sound but I wasn't pretending to have one. The black metal pieces that go on the bumper look fantastic (since I already have blackout pieces too), and it definitely makes the entire rear end look and sound much better. It's not an obnoxiously loud sound, but definitely gives a throatier sound a muscle car should have, and quite a roar if you slam the throttle. As for the tuner/CAI: CAI was extremely simple to install, 5 minutes maximum. The tuner was also simple. A little disappointing you only get one tune though. Also I just recieved new tires, and when trying to reprogram it for them I keep getting an error, so I'll have to call the hotline to get it fixed. OVERALL: Great purchase, something you can definitely do at your own home if you have the basic tools.

      Great Product

This is a great kit, it adds to your V6, sound and seat of your pants feel makes your stang come to life. The only downside of this kit is that you need to wait until after the kit is received in order to get your program and handheld from Ford Racing, It SHOULD be possible if you have your Vin Number and PCM number at time of checkout, to take care of everything in one shot. That being said, the turn around for the hand held and program was very fast. Overall, this one upgrade opens the door for any other high performance adds you want to do in the future.

      Flight of the phoenix

This transformed my pony into a car that can easily compete with stock V8's. The improved gas mileage offsets premium fuels costs. The exhaust sounds great without being too loud. Save your money and make this mod a priority before all others. You won't be disappointed.

      Best bang for your buck!

The Ford Racing Power Pack is awesome! I would recommend this for any v6 mustang owner! The install was fairly easy as long as you follow the instructions EXACTLY. The procal tuner came in the mail 2 days after the order was sent, making the FRPP a great weekend project! The exhaust is better than I thought it would be, it definitely turns quite a few heads when driving down the street, and has a clean noticible roar when the throttle is opened up. Overall the whole kit made a HUGE performance difference, resulting in better mid range, throttle response, and overall horsepower. I would like to say thanks to American muscle

      V6 Ford Racing Power Pack

It really added a boost to my pony. I thought that the exaust would be louder, but it has a nice tone and looks great. When my "Y" pipe was cut off, it had the wight on it to help dampen vibration. The new pipes have a bit of vibration to them at certain RPMs and need a wight added to cut down on the pipe vibration. In all it was a great purchase. I love it.

Great Kit, Great Value, but not perfect

This kit is a great value compared to buying everything individually. Installation was easy once I got the car on a lift. The trim pieces actually took longer to install than the exhaust. If you try to use a floor jack you'll need a big one because you'll have to lift higher than 2 feet to get the midpipes on. Instructions are not real clear on where to cut the y-pipe because of vague pictures and the y-pipes not being symmetric. I figured it out but it took about 20 minutes of mocking and measuring. Once things were cut, & stock pipes removed, it went fast. The stock muffler uses 2 hangers, new ones use 2. Remove the extra hanger & save the bolts, you'll need them for the one of the left side hangers. You must loosen/remove headpipes from manifolds and no gaskets are provide. Trim pieces were a pain to cut fascia properly & getting the top screws in were a real PITA, but are worth the effort, they look nice. I bought a pair of HD nitride coated scissors from Home Depot to trim the fascia. Intake was a breeze. Programmer arrived very quickly from Ford Racing after entering our ECM barcode on Ford's website. Instructions for the programmer were useless but we figured it out. Car runs great, sound is quieter than I expected but you definitely know its there. nice tone, slight drone with automatic but not annoying. Lots more low end torque & better HP above 4000 rpms. Now I'm getting a P0430 Cat efficiency code. Will call Ford 's techline to see what the if they can resolve. Overall, a great kit but the check engine light is more than a little irritating.
