Any Drone? if yes? how bad and at what range? I love a throaty exhaust, but the drone kills. Even with the Shaker 500 the drone over powers the radio to death. So I am looking for something with growl, but easy on the drone.

      • i have had these on my car for about a week now and have not heard a drone and i drive in all kinds of conditions and speeds. I live on a military base and have to cruise at low speeds no drone. i also do some highway driving again no drone at speed. you will enjoy these. they are definetly throaty but not obnoxiuos.

          would buy again

I hear once a day or more my mustang sounds healty. These are low to mid level price but have high quality sound. Also I like the stainless tips rather then some chrome tips. These are a great option...

          Completely Satisfied

Had my muffler shop install it, only took them 45 mins or so! Perfect fit with ZERO issues. This thing is deep! I went from turning heads with the GT500 axlebacks, to breakin necks! Performance wise, cannot really tell if the car is faster, might even be a bit slower than my old muffers. Will be getting the H-Pipe to offset that though. Overall very satisfied!

          Awesome!

Great throaty sound. The person who installed it has a High end exhaust but after hearing the heart throb he's getting that now.

          Great sound!!

Fit my 2012 Boss perfectly without any modification and sounds terrific. A great value for sure, and gave my car the deep, aggressive tone that I was looking for. Very happy with this axleback!

          great for your buck

This is a great exhaust for the buck. Is quick and easy to install, and it also give your coyote the sound that it needs. Overall it sounds good and for the price I cant complain.

          Awesome sound!

I've had these on my car for about a week and a half now, and I absolutely love them. I've had tons of compliments and I've had a few mustang guys ask me what exhaust is on the car. It has a very aggressive sound, and with any aggressive exhaust there is a drone pretty much all the time. If you don't want a drone, then don't install a loud exhaust. If you want a badass sounding mustang, then get these. Installation is very easy, but the driver's side hangs a little low, it might be fixed by bending the hangers. I would absolutely recommend this exhaust though.

          Horrible fitment. Fantastic sound.

I bought this exhaust because I needed sound for my completely stock 2011 5.0, and it absolutely delivered. The sound isn't overwhelming, but it's certainly loud and at times, pretty obnoxious. For an axel-back, I think this is the best bang for your buck if you can't afford the Roush system. The packaging was horrible and the driver's side muffler was dented when I recieved it. There was no padding at all, and the welding looked terrible as well. That's about what I expected for an exhaust this cheap, though. I would recommend buying this exhaust if you're having a shop install it. I tried to install it in my driveway but couldn't because of how bad the damage/fitment was.

Heartthrob Flowpack Axle-Back Exhaust (11-14 GT)

I really like how fast I received my purchase. Once I put them on I want to drive all the time. Very pleased with the product. But there is a small drone with it, but it's nothing that really stands out. Overall very satisfied.

          Loud!!!

I picked up this exhaust for the price and quick sound clips that I heard. It has a nice burly growl that reminds me of an old school muscle car, exactly what I was looking for. Install was easy and everything lined up. The only complaint I have is the extreme drone around 1800 to 2300 rpms. I do a lot of highway driving and sit around 75 mph most of the time and the drone is nearly a bit much. I only have a couple hundred miles with this pipe and I'm looking for a way to fix the drone but haven't found anything yet. I'm happy with this pipe about 90 of the time.

          great sound, great price!!!!

I bought these almost a year ago it was one of the first things that HAD to be done to my '11 gt. The sound is amazing, it provides a nice aggressive tone. When the car is idling you know that something has been done and makes my car sound like a beast that is sleeping, when you wake it up it roars and screams down the road. I was able to hear my wife drive it down the road for about 3/4 of a mile. Install was easy, the fit is the only little issue I've had with it, I would say it's just the pair that I received but the driver side doesn't line up properly and gets really close to the valance. I haven't wanted to take it to a shop to get the hanger fixed but I will soon as it has been the little thing that has bothered me for the duration that I've had them on. I'm going to be a returning customer with heartthrob, I'm going to get their h-pipe and see how that matches with the rest. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Deep throaty note from the Heartthrobs

The Heartthrobs produce a deep throaty note but with my automatic 5.0 there tends to be an annoying drone when in a light pull. Overall bag for the buck is high!

          Perfection

This is by far the best axle back for a daily driver that wants the most out of just getting an axle back. There is no drone on a flat highway at 2k rpm but if your going up a hill then there is a tollerable amount of it. The sound that comes out is amazing especially when you downshift. Thank you Heartthrob for making this wonderful product!

          LOUD

I love this exhaust!! Makes my 2012 5.0 SCREAM, i've been turning heads ever since my install. Install was easy wouldve taken about an hr-hr 1/2 except my passenger side was rusted underneath the clamp. This exhaust is not for someone who wants a mellow/low tone, it does make your mustang sound like the monster that 302 was made to push out. All in all amazing for my money. My only negative with the system is the looks, tips are dull but heartthrob customer service really made up for that. I love my exhaust so much i decided to send them an email telling them about and asked to purchase a few decals in 2 days they sent me about 10!! for free, if you want people to hear you 1/2 mile up the road get these bad boys!

Heartthrob Flowpack Axle-Back Exhaust (11-14 GT)

Removal of the original 2013 mufflers was very straight forward. The new Heartthfob Flowback mufflers are a least 1/2 the weight of the OEM. The mounting was not difficult at all. Just make sure you have a large pair a channel lock pliers handy. I needed them to very slightly bend the new mounting bars into place. Once in, I clamped it up, connected the battery and started the GT. It sounds so good when you get on it that the neighbor kids came over to my driveway and said "is that a race car?" I took it out for a drive and there is a very slight bit of droning so I put some sound padding inside the trunk just over the mufflers. You can't see any of the padding under the stock carpet. It sounds like an animal growling as the Gt goes done the street. When you drive it normally, the sound is just a little deeper than stock. Worth every penny.

          Sounds good BUT drone18k-2k

Product came damaged but was able to have exhaust shop fix it once installed clamps would not tighten enough to keep it tight and not leak had to weld it on sound is awesome however it resonates so bad at 18k-2k that after a 45 min drive my wife and i could barely hear when we got out of the car!

          loud but not without drone

I bought these to have something lightweight and most of all loud, but without drone on the highway. While they generally sound absolutely awesome (pops and crackle on the overrun, badass growl on the throttle, really nice at idle) they still have some drone from 1800 to 2100rpm, which for me is about 65-70ish. It's not unbearable, but still it's there so that's something for you to consider. Installation was a piece of cake. Take the exhaust hangers of the car, put the exhaus in the hangers and then bolt it back up, makes your life much easier this way!

          Great exhaust for the money!

Considering most other axle-back kits run 400-500+, this is great bang for your buck. I installed it in an evening. Wouldn't have taken more than 70 minutes but I decided to sand them, clean them, and then paint them with black high temp paint. I would definitely recommend painting them, especially the welds. Quality is about what you'd expect for the price. Aren't the best looking things out of the box but a little elbow grease and a few hrs they are nice. Fitment was a bit of a pain... Had to bend all of the hangers, some quite a bit, to get them to fit just right. All in all though it wasn't too bad. I would recommend unbolting the front hangars (towards axle) with the old mufflers and install them with the new ones. Makes removal/install way easier. Would definitely recommend! Drone isn't bad at all at hwy speeds. Sounds amazing! Stock is way too quiet, this puts a deep, loud growl in the beast. AM shipped same day UPS, exceptional service! Best online part site I've ever used.

          Great amazing sound!

I bought these over the GT500 exhaust because i wanted something loud and throaty, i listened on youtube for some examples and i have resonators on and they still sound great on my 2013 GT, there is a drone at 2000RPM going 65-80mph but turn up the music and you can drown it out. Overral i love these mufflers! thanks AM!
