Increase Horsepower And Torque. Now you can increase the horsepower and torque of your coyote powered Mustang with a set of JBA Cat4ward Shorty headers for power you can feel throughout the entire RPM band. These JBA Shorty headers will greatly improve your mustangs exhaust flow increasing your Pony's horsepower, and torque.

Quality Construction. JBA Shorty headers are made to last using 3/8" thick laser-cut one piece flanges and free flowing mandrel-bent 1-3/4" stainless steel tubing.

Natural Finish. These JBA Headers feature a natural stainless steel finish, which provides an aggressive appearance to your engine bay. This is not a heat-resistant coating, AmericanMuscle recommends the use of Exhaust Heat Wrap for high performance applications.

Application. Designed to fit the 2011-2014 GT Mustangs equiped with the 5.0L coyote V8 engine. These JBA Cat4ward Shorty headers include high-quality mounting hardware, reuse the factory gaskets and come with complete installation instructions, so that they will bolt right up to your Mustangs stock Mid Pipe.

Would these fit a 15-17 Mustang Gt's as well? Its the same coyote 5.0 engine

  • The JBA 1-3/4 in. Cat4ward Shorty Headers will not fit the 15-17 due to changes in the chassis that present clearance issues on the newer models, and changes to where the exhaust connects on the newer models vs the older 11-14's.

  • These headers will work in unison with the Pypes off-road X-pipe.

How many horspower the headers gave your car Hwo many horspower u gain when u put the headers

  • I don't know the power gain because I haven't had it on the dyno yet. However, the power gains are there, I can spin the tires much easier now and the car just simply gets the heck down the road with more authority than it did before the headers install. You will notice the difference.

    Middle of the road

    These had to be grinded down for a flush fit. Also the bolts that came with it are junk. Ended up using stock manifold bolts for more secure hold. Sounds good though.

    Installation JBA shorty headers

    Don't believe the manufacturer's description of the degree of difficulty for this installation. It is much more difficult to do it correctly, and requires significantly more time to accomplish when done by one person without a lift. The forward O2 sensor connectors are very difficult to access and disconnect, and the placement of threads in the new headers(vs the factory units) requires that sheet metal be "dimpled" on the passenger side to prevent interference when reinstalling the O2 sensor. Motor mount bolts are difficult to access and loosen/retighten on both sides(easier for the rear bolts on the passenger side). The passenger side front motor-mount bolts required loosening the K member just to access the top bolt which also has a ground wire attached. Forget loosening the AC compressor unless you want to go through the hassle of taking off the old belt(stretch on belt) and installing a new belt. The passenger side front top header nut and stud are very difficult to remove without using a pry bar to slightly distort the AC tube from the compressor(be careful!). I ended up reinstalling same because it was easier than trying to install the bolt that comes with the headers. Finally, the installed product delivers as expected with more power released from the engine and a definite change in exhaust note and volume(factory exhaust plumbing and axle back mufflers from Ford Performance for the GT500). I recommend the headers but expect to spend considerable time if installing yourself and doing it right.

    Love these JBA Shorty Headers

    Had them installed by a shop a week ago and I'm very impressed with the results. The car most definitely have an extra kick to it, especially when you punch it off the line. The sound have a deeper tone to it, not too much louder but noticeably better overall. These headers works well with my other mods, Bama custom tune, flowmaster axle back , and roush air intake. I absolutely love the sound and power even more so now. JBA was spot on with these shorty headers and I'm very pleased with them thus far. The car was a blast to drive everyday before I had the install so, it's really a blast to drive now. Not sure if I could have picked a better set of shorty headers.
