    Improve Horsepower And Torque. The Kooks Long Tube Header and Catted Shorty X-pipe combo kit for the automatic 2005 to 2010 GT Mustangs will balance out the exhaust pressure to increase flow over the restrictive stock exhaust system resulting in more horsepower, torque, and better throttle response.

    Quality Construction. Manufactured from 1-5/8" mandrel bent 304 stainless steel tubing Kooks Long Tube Headers are TIG welded for strength, and feature a leak-free ball flange design to fit perfectly into the included 2.5" diameter 304 stainless steel Shorty X-pipe for excellent exhaust flow and performance.

    Recommended Upgrade. To realize the full power potential that this Header and X-pipe combo kit has to offer, AmericanMuscle recommends a custom tune with a Mustang Handheld Tuner to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) for proper operation.

    Application. This Kooks Header and matching catted X-pipe combo kit is designed specifically for the 2005 to 2010 4.6L GT Mustangs equipped with an automatic transmission.

    Magnaflow Catbacks Will these Kooks long tube headers and X-Pipe Cats properly mate with my existing Magnaflow Catback exhaust? If not, should I change my Catbacks?

    • From the information given for both products, these parts are designed to be stock replacement/fitment products. I have a bunch of different exhaust parts on my mustang and they all bolt in perfectly. There should be no problem with this kit.

      what a difference

      Tell you rite know, its quite a job putting them on,i had shorties, its quite a switch,need to know what your doing then you should be ok. let me tell you what a sound theirs nothing like it, any better mite be to much for the street. i am super happy, with this whole set up. for the automatic on the dyno picked up 18.47 hp at rear wheels and14 lbs of torque.Very happy,very worth it. If i knew this would of never got shorties Mike Bev

      2007 Shelby gt

      The kooks headers and x pipe are a quality product. Installation was a pain but every thing fit well. My car has the original ford muflers but the headers made it louder but not irritating. With the headers and bama tune my car chirps the tires shifting into second gear and third. Thanks am.

      Kooks headers with "X" mid. pipe

      product is well made.using the org. mufflers. Exhaust is quiet until you start pressing on the gas.

      Looks great - sounds better

      I had this installed alongside an Intake Manifold, FR Cams, FR Throttle Body, so I can't isolate the performance gains of this upgrade itself. As a whole though, these changes made a BIG difference. I have PypeBomb Axle Backs and together the exhaust rumbles. Of course with power upgrades come trade offs -- the drone is more pronounced that it was before. No problems with clearance -- and the install went without issue -- but I had a shop do the work.

      AMAZING!!!

      Ive been shopping around for Headers for a few months now. My local Mustang Performance shop recommended going with Kooks. At first I was a little hesitant because of the cost but I was told that the Kooks quality and the fitment can not be beat. After doing some research I decided to take their recommendation and make the purchase. Lets just say I couldn't be happier with my decision!! Right out the box I could tell that these are high quality headers!! The stainless steel is amazing and the welds looks perfect. I took the kit to the shop and had them do the install. I had the LT Headers, High Flow Cats and the X-Pipe all installed for $550. I also had Bama Performance send me a new tune for my iTSX tuner. Once I cranked it up I couldn't believe the way it sounded!!! I also have Ford Racing Hotrod Cams so when combining all of this the new exhaust note is simply AMAZING!!! I didn't think I could get my 2010 GT to sound like a 1960s muscle car!! The sound is a night and day difference. Once I got her on the road I could instantly feel the power, especially at WOT....Once I tap the throttle she is wanting to take off...Sitting at idle at stop lights I get nothing but looks!!...Between the power, HP increase and the sound I couldn't be happier with the purchase!! Airraid intake, FRPP 3.73 gears, iTSX custom tune, Kooks LT Headers and FRPP Hotrod Cams all purchased through AM...My 2010 GT is simply unbelievable!! I definetely recommend these headers and then some!! Thanks AM for always providing such amazing products and customer service!!

      Sounds great!

      I had these put on for 600 bucks at my local speed shop. These headers really sound great. I have SLP Loudmouths with them and it is really loud. I think the Loudmouths may need to be changed out to be honest. I do love the distinct sound from the headers. The engine seems rev a little easier now with the headers in place. When I really get on the gas, it just screams and sounds wicked. This mod is a really good supporting mod for my overall build project!

      Best Mod on my car yet!

      I spent a lot of time looking at what exhaust to get and making sure it made the sounds I was looking for. I got these for Christmas from my fiance because she was snooping on my build list and caught them on sale. After installing these with some Pypes Violators Axle-backs and FRPP Hotrod cams I can honestly say this car is the best sounding Mustang in town. I get a lot of positive comments on the classic rumble and out right roar at WOT. This setup has set off 3 car alarms and counting on start-up and idle. You WILL NOT be disappointed with the sound or the power gains I can surely promise you that!

      KOOKS HEADERS!

      Just intalled the long tube headers last night. Took a while but that was because i had to use jacks and didnt have the greatest of tools. The Catted system does not come with hangers for the x pipe so you will have to have some welded on. I have had to drive my car without the catts and x pipe for 2 days now and oh wow! I wont even start the car after 8 because it is so CRAZY loud! The sound is amazing, i just need to get the x pipe in and some mufflers. The headers fit great! But that was after propping the engine up a good 10 inches and taking off the motor mounts, starter, steering shaft and dip stick. Dont have any problems with fitment. Cant wait to have the rest of the exhuast put on so i can actually start the car without making everyone mad xD

      Snap, Crackle, & Pop

      Though the install was a pain and required the help of a friend, this combo kit is well worth your time and money. I paired this kit with my Pypes Mid Muffler Cat-back and, I have to say, the result was surprising. At start-up, it sounded like little had changed. It was, however, when I began to rev it, I realized that this was a TOTALLY different beast. The "pop" sound was incredible, and scares pretty much anyone walking along the road. The added 36hp doesn't hurt either. Now my 'stang has the grunt to back up its muscle-car looks. Further, American Muscle came through with a quick delivery and great service.

      Got what I wanted!

      After owning my Mustang for a year and getting it out of storage for my second summer I found myself needing more . I went for the Kooks long tubes and high flow catted X pipe ,(preveous owner installed GTA Axlebacks which I stayed with) couldn't be more happy with my purchase! The first time I started the engine it brought a smile to my face,6 months later I still love that sound, easy on the ears while crusing but a Beast when unleashed. My 7 year old daughter says "the car is angry". I had my local garage due the install this was beyond me, they were impressed with the quality of workmanship and fit of the Kooks Headers. It did take them about 10 hours to complete over 2 days. This was longer than they had originally expected, it is a big job,they took thier time and did it right and only charged me for 8 hours they seemed to be happy to have gotten this project and were all smiles watching me start and listen to the engine for the first time. My 08 is an auto with FRPP 4:10 ,FRPP Cold Air, FRPP 62mm TB and a BAMA tune! I LOVE driving this car now, I got what I wanted. This Mustang wants to RUN!

      Great sound!

      Got these headers and x pipe for christmas, had them installed professionally for 500$. Worth every penny. Paired this up with my borla catback and my car sounds like a beast. Great low tone. Not to loud when cruising, but really screams at you when you stomp on it. Picked up 16 rwhp and 19 rwtq with a tune. Great buy and great numbers.
