Upgrade Your Exhaust. A free-flowing, non-restrictive exhaust system does wonders for your Mustang’s performance. Used in combination with long tube headers with 2.5 in. collectors and either MAC or OEM cat-back, the MAC 2.5 in. Aluminized Steel Off-Road X-Pipe is an important component for any performance exhaust overhaul. It features the proven X-pipe design that helps improve the exhaust flow by evening out the pulses in airflow. Additionally, the mandrel-bent tubing is non-restrictive and provides for smooth airflow.

Race-Car Style Growl. The X-pipe design delivers a characteristic loud and higher pitched exhaust sound. This can be further tuned with a selection of cat-back systems which can be purchased separately.

Deletes Factory Cats. In order to deliver optimum exhaust flow and performance gains, the X-pipe had to remove the restrictive factory catalytic converters. Because of this, the product is intended for off-road and closed course competitions only. It’s not intended for street use.

Aluminized Steel Construction. The X-pipe is expertly machined and mandrel-bent to provide smooth exhaust flow. Additionally, the aluminized steel construction gives the X-pipe excellent strength, durability, and corrosion-resistance.

Application. The MAC 2.5 in. Aluminized Steel Off-Road X-Pipe is designed to fit 1979 to 1993 Ford Mustang 5.0L models equipped with manual transmission and long tube headers. Long tube headers are sold separately.

    Great product!

First of all alot of reviews say the O2 sensors weren't included in the pipe. They are located in the header not the x-pipe. Also you want to leave everything loose until it is all bolted together. This makes it much easier to line up with both the catback and the header.

    Not worth the hassle

I'll start by saying that the visual quality of the product was good but the fitment was completely horrible. When trying to install, the front flow tubes were so narrow on each side that I had to use a strap to bring the headers in close enough to bolt on. Then when I went to connect the cat back the rear tubes on the x pipe didn't line up, were pointing towards the side of the car. Looking closer at the x pipe I noticed that the tubes weren't bent correctly. So I had to take a saw and welder to a "direct bolt on" mid pipe so I could bend it and bolt on my cat back. Also they product wasn't packaged very well and one of the flanges were dented.

    Was very disappointed

Product did not fit at all, the pipes that bolt to the headers were not wide enough by nearly an inch and a half, the exhaust hangers were too tall causing the X-pipe to bolt up at an odd angle and then one of the pipes at the rear that bolts to the mufflers came off crooked causing a gap and exhaust leak, I’m not sure if I got a product that was packaged wrong or what but what should have taken 20 minutes or less took me well over 2 hours, I hope this was a one time mistake for me and not others because this was almost a disaster, installed Mac long tubes, this Mac off road X-pipe and the flow master American thunder exhaust and had to have it done in a day, would have been done by lunch and instead was done around 5 in the afternoon after starting at 8
