      Please read before buying or else..

      Got this system because I installed macs exhaust on my 2002 mustang and sounded great, and the thing I like most about it was that it came in 3 pieces: Inlet pipes, over axle pipes, and mufflers. Easily done on a set of ramps. With the 3 inch h pipe I bought, (because you NEED a 3 inch mid pipe with this, more on that later) the cold start reads at ~100 decibels and purrs at a mild ~86. In the 70's when fully warm. Deep sound and pops on deceleration. With that being said, this system is a PITA. Inlet pipes are NOT compatible with your stock h pipe and are too short for that matter. Your mid pipe needs to be 3 inches in outside diameter to slip into the inlet pipes. This means you need new clamps as well. Mac and AM do not state this however. AM still hasn't updated the description and its been almost a month. (We spoke on the phone). Most 3 inch catbacks and mid pipes reuse the stock 2.5 inch band clamps so if you get this system be aware of the above. Take it to your local muffler shop to fab you up a custom mid pipe or to make the inlet pipes compatible with your stock h pipe/aftermarket mid pipe. I would just do a different catback altogether if I could go back. I made it work by buying 2 3 inch adapters that were 4 inches in length and that seems to do the trick, for now.. I also cut the stock muffler clamps because they work better than the ones Mac provides.

      Deep Sound!

      Very deep sound when first started and then mellows out nicely. Deep revs similar to the gt500 but, more beastly. Sounds awesome cruising around with a deep tone under 3500 rpms. After 4500 rpms, the sound isn't very loud and not a deep tone anymore. It then starts to sound like an old 5.0 with Flowmasters after 4500 rpms. The exhaust also tends to start popping on deceleration around 2000 rpm. It can be heard from several hundred feet away. It depends on what you're looking to achieve for sound. Sounds like a beast when cruising and doesn't grab TOO much attention when doing pulls. Great to stay under the radar. Plus you can hear the blower whine just fine, which is cool too
