What is this product supposed to do exactly? Prevent certain codes, or just allow more air to come through without the ECU tripping out?

        • The MAC 73mm Mass Air Meter for 19lb Injectors will all more air to be measured in applications were airflow has been increased. Since the volume of the stock units are much smaller, they can only read the amount of air that can passed the sensor with their given volume. By increasing diameter, it directly increases the amount of volume that can be measured at a single given moment.

I was excited for this but it didn’t fit.

As much as I wanted this mod it didn’t fit on my 2002 mustang, so if you’re gonna sell something this costly and it doesn’t even or you have make your customers custom fit it themselves it’s not worth it. It should right off the bat.

            Wrong one

Okay . So I bought this one when it was suppose to be for 1999 models . Im going to weld it to the intake. Any thoughts? Either cut the 4 clamps and slide in or weld .

            04 V6 Stang with power.

OK, so its my turn review this item. First I want to start with a four star ratting because this item don't come with an adapter to adapt to intakes such BBK one, and there's now way I would spent on buying another one. Alright so the MAC 73mm Air meter houses the sensor pretty tight I had issues placing it. The opening were you place the sensor was a bit tight I had to shave bits from the rubber ring from my sensor. Other then that issue everything was fine. I finally was able to custom fit this MAF to my BBK intake tubes with out any cutting. Yes that's right I didn't have to cut my tube to fit this Baby. What I did was simple and actually it was easy to figure it out. I just reverse the pipe that holds the filter and bolts the stock MAF. The side with the four holes was joint with an Adapter I made from an older intake pipe I had. I just easily cut it till it was about two inches so the filters mouth when over it and secure it with the metal ring thing. And on the other side well of course the rubber coupler joint to the MAF, and so on. This only took me about 2 hours because I had to custom fit things and had to remove my passenger side front tire plastic cover to place the filter on the tube. Other then that is very thing great. I really love the sound and man it feels like it gain more throttle power. I really love this product and I do recommend it, but be aware that you need to be careful. Choose the right intake or if you are like me where you can do a MacGyver and creat things on the spot well go a head and get this for your Pony. Great product abit heavy but you will feel the power.

            Works great no bracket though

No bracket comes on the v6 as pictured however I just cut the bracket off my cold air intake and I was in business! Other than bracket issues works just as it should!

A vital link in a V6 intake upgrade!

If you've already put a CAI on your V6 Pony, and wondering WHERE the power increase is.... If you haven't also replaced the MAF - your higher flowing CAI is trying to breathe through the stock, tiny, 56mm MAF!! The Mac 73mm MAF housing reuses your factory MAF sensor - and really lets the REST of the intake upgrades you've done, WORK the way they were intended, giving you that Punch that you can FEEL!! Highly recommended!
