Aggressive Throaty Sound. Add a throatier muscular exhaust note to your 4.6L GT and improve the exhaust flow at the same time with a MAC Performance Axle-Back exhaust system from AmericanMuscle.

Flow Path Mufflers. MAC Flow Path Chambered Mufflers feature a patented multi passage design, following Helmholtz's Theory of Tone, to produce a muffler that effectively flows exiting exhaust gases all while maintaining a desirable tone. With no packing that can burn out, Flow Path Mufflers will sound the same mile after mile, year after year.

High Quality Construction. Constructed from durable 2.5" stainless steel tubing for strength and corrosion resistance this MAC Performance axle back features two "Flow Path" chambered mufflers that end with massive 4" diameter polished stainless steel tips for classic muscle car looks and sound.

Application. This MAC Performance Axle-Back exhaust system is specifically designed to fit the 2005 to 2010 GT and Bullitt Mustangs with the 4.6L 3 valve V8 engine.

Technical Note. Americanmuscle recommends adding the 2005+ Mustang 304 Stainless Steel Exhaust Hanger Kit from the drop down option above, to provide more strength, stability and a cleaner installed appearance. If you have a 2007 Mustang you may need the kit for correct installation.

      Still impressed

This is my second time running these mufflers. Sold the first set and went straight piped for awhile. By far one of the best sounding and looking axle backs for these cars. Currently running these with long tubes off road h-pipe and custom cams and they have just the right amount of tone and volume.

      Best choice

This exhaust is awesome. This is the best sound ever, always turning heads. You can never go wrong with the Mac axle back exhaust. That signature tone at 2,000 rpms, is heaven.

      Mac pipes

My Mac axel back pipes gave my 2010 GT the increased sound that I wanted without it being too loud. I term it as a nice rumble !!!!!!

4 2008 Bullitt - Alex Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

      Pair it with long tubes

This muffler paired with long tube headers made my car one of the best sounding muscle cars Iv heard. The only negative thing about the muffler is the moan between 1.5-2 rpm, but well worth it.

      They grew on me

I expected them to be loud and crazy. But they make your mustangs tone perfect for the muscle car. If you want that crazy sound hitting the pedal go for something else. But if you want 60s notes, welcome to the club.

      Awesome sound!!!

My co-worker recomended me these mufflers. I did some research and wasn't too impress on some of the videos I saw on You Tube. Finally my co-worker brought his car and I was hooked right away with the nice Old School sound this mufflers have. I got them installed in a shop for $180 since I had some rusted clamps and the ones included were cheap.

The Way the 3v 4.6L should sound!

Currently have a JEGs off-road H pipe, originally had SLPs which were WAY too loud. Switched to: which was far more streetable and sounded very good. This year I wanted something new. Installed the MACs yesterday. For sound level, about the same as the Flowmaster 60s. BUT for sound quality the MACs certainly have the more favorable "muscle sound." Barely any "3v buzz" and no infamous trumpeting. It is all a very deep/aggressive pulsing and burgling exhaust note. The only pain was the fitment, not quite a flush fit. There is a drone but not terrible. Very happy. 4 stars for overall satisfaction for sound quality and some issues during install.

Second MAC exhaust system on a Stang

I love the sound of this exhaust system. I had a set on my 01GT and now on my 06. To get the prochamber to follow. Can pick out of a line up of other mustangs.

      4 2007 GT500 - Plum

      Best so far

I have Dynatech long tubes and a catless H pipe. Started with Ford racing Stingers. Next Bassanis. They were great at idle and low RPMs but the drone and volume at WOT were mind numbing. Thes MACs are plenty loud at idle and cruising around but don't blow my ear drums when I'm into the pedal hard. A little drone.I can still hear the blower whine. Couldn't with the Ford Racing and Bassanis. Had to loosen the over axle pipes for proper fitment.
