Hear Your Mustang Roar. Making a Ford Mustang sound good is easy. However, bringing that sound to work for your Pony is something completely different. But with the MAC Boom Tube Cat-Back Exhaust system, your exhaust is going to provide powerful boosts in performance and overall sound quality.

Superior Components. This exhaust system is crafted from 2.50-inch, mandrel-bent, stainless steel tubing. Bringing together durable and strong pipes and bending them for maximum performance will net you a huge increase in airflow, meaning you're going to see boosts to horsepower and torque as well. And the 4-inch exhaust tips provide a rolled, angle-cut look to give your system great looks as well.

Belt out the Low Notes. Powerful sound from your cat-back exhaust is delivered through twin straight-through mufflers and shot straight through the polished, stainless steel, 4-inch exhaust tips. You're going to get a massive boost in exhaust notes by this system, a deep and aggressive rumble when idling and a powerful roar that hits you in the gut when you hit the gas.

Bolt-On Installation. This cat-back exhaust installs with no modification or drilling to your Mustang, You'll need hand tools, jack stands or a car lift, and a friend to help you hold things in place as you work. It should only take about 2 hours.

One-Year Warranty. This cat-back system is protected by MAC's 1-year warranty against manufacturer's and material defects.

Application. This MAC Boom Tube Cat-Back Exhaust is designed to fit 1979-1993 LX, 1994-1995 GT and 1994-2004 V6 Mustangs.

Technical Note. To use this MAC Cat-Back Exhaust on a V6 Mustang, you will need to use an H-Pipe or X-Pipe, as well as exhaust hangers. You will also need to get the following Parts as they are not included with the Cat-Back Exhaust (for the V6 Only):
    • Passenger Side Muffler Hanger: Ford Part # E6ZZ-5C263-A
    • Driver/Passenger Side Exhaust Tip Hanger: Ford Part # F4ZZ-5A246-B

Can you use the Pypes Catted X-Pipe along with this exhaust? If you can how much HP can you expect with this exhaust? I have not added anything to my car. It is still stock. Thank you.

        • The MAC Boom Tube Cat-Back Exhaust can be used with the Pypes Catted X-Pipe. Power gains will vary based on existing modifications, as well as your year and engine, but on average, both parts together will show approximately 15hp gains.

I have an 02 v6 and I am ordering Mac longtube headers, a Mac H-pipe and this exhaust. I know all of these are compatable and will work together but what else will I be needing? Such as clamps or new oxygen sensors? I know I will have to get muffler hangers already. ;)

        • Installing Mac Long Tubes, Mac H pipe, and MAC Boom Tube Cat-Back Exhaust will not require new O2 sensors, however this can ease installation as often old O2 sensors can be difficult to remove. All required clamps will be included, though O2 sensor extensions or Mil eliminators may be needed for your application, as well as the hangers you already mentioned.

            Excellent sound

First of all, it has a great sound to it, really made my little V6 come alive, but it took a little work to make it fit properly: I bought this set up along with the Pypes catted x-pipe, and the passenger side didn't fit as the x pipe was longer on that side, something that wasn't expected as per one of the QandAs saying both will fit together no problem. So I ended up putting on as much as I could and then took it to a shop to have them trim down and weld the passenger side to make it fit properly. Rating the fit and finish at a 2 out of 5 due to one of the QandAs on here saying they could be used together no problem, and how the product photo shows a much shinier, polished set up, whereas the one I received wasn't polished at all (Other than the tips)

            Mac dented tubes

Installed the whole exhaust system and noticed it had little dents on the stainless steel tips. Still waiting for my replacement tip.

            Extremely loud!

This thing is VERY loud, almost too loud. Since you do have to get extra parts to convert a v6 to a true duel it makes it a little hard. Also the drivers side o2 sensor isnt long enough so you will need an extension ( assuming you get the MAC longtube headers that are recommended for this exhaust ). Another note, the oil pump line ends up laying on the exhaust but some zip ties fix that! XD All together, if you are trying to make your v6 newedge mustang as loud as possible, this is what you need to get, now the not on the other hand... a little questionable, very "rattley". Worth it to me though. ;)

            Magnificent!!!!!

These have my 1999 Ford Mustang V6 sounding like a 5.0 Ford Mustang. The rumble is awesome, I’ve notice my mustang has a lot more power since I switched over to a duel exhaust. This exhaust system is a must to get, you won’t regret the purchase. Bought this with my Mac long tube headers and Mac h-pipe.

            Loud

I have mine straight piped with no cats and it is so loud it's almost deafening at about 3-4k rpm's! The downshift sounds extremely good, lots of pops and crackles! Just very loud! I absolutely love them!!

            What a Difference

I paired this Cat-Back with a catted X-Pipe made from Pypes. Man.... this exhaust is the real deal. I was a little hesitant at first because I was worried about the back pressure. If you have cats, you should be fine in my opinion. The acceleration is not hampered THAT MUCH. Sound wise this exhaust is incredible. The note coming from this is so open and large. The pitch definitely decreased and it sounds great. Paired with an X-Pipe, it creates a nice open throaty sound. In my opinion, you get the best of both worlds; Performance from the X-Pipe and the open sound from the exhaust. This combo works really nicely. Performance wise, this exhaust makes it easier to climb up the RPM ladder. More air flow usually means more power, and I definitely saw that here. The Styling is beautiful. Going from a single exhaust to dual exhaust is such a game changer. Not only does it look better, it sounds and performs better. Every Mustang should have duals. Overall this was a great exhaust and will truly make a difference in your driving experience.

            Mac boom tube

It’s the loudest it very awesome !! You can’t go wrong buying this exhaust. It was very simple putting it on it took almost the whole day. Make sure your exhaust is very cool and if it ain’t have a spray water bottle to let it cool.
