MAC Chrome Shorty Headers (05-09 V6)

It was like my motor took on a whole new life and it has 120k miles on it. An excellent choice to improve performance and fuel economy. I highly recommend this product to anyone with a V6 that is looking to get something more out of their car.

Good All Around Header for Performance & Looks

Took less then 3 hrs to install with the Mac pro chamber. Hands down one of the best mods i have installed on my V6 to date. On a side note, the mac headers do not come with gaskets. I called up to mac and they said that you can reuse the factory ones. I just called ford and ordered a new set, but all of the other hardware was provided for the install.

Whatever you do, do not buy these. They are terrible. When i took them to get put on the mechanic said he had a VERY difficult time getting them on. And i drove it just felt like they were holding my car back from going anywhere. i drove like this for a week,(i dont drive my stang very much) i used twice as much gas as i usually do in week and i had to pay the same price again to the mechanic to get my stock headers put back on. BIGBIG waste of money!

ok first these header should not even be on the market ... if somebody has a v6 and wants headers .... put some more money on bbk or wtv the mac i got really was the worst investment ever.... installed themm and they really fit but they leak with or wiithout gasket ...... i went to a muffler shop and fixed the leak from the bottom to the pipe ..... cost 300 more the 400 installation of header .... then when i finished .... i still heard a leakk... listened very well and they even leak from the top of the headers... got crazy went back to the garage couldnt do more they werre well screwed and everything good .. but qualityyy cheap ... so garanty there holes where its weld .... now im not even driving my car cuz the sound is tooo ugly with the leak have a to find a way to fix this leak and dont know how much more its cost me or if ill be able to fix it ...... now the most important part .... do not buy these .. i even called american muscle before buying them but they said `` look the are reviews with bad experience but there is only 2 on the 100 we sold `` so now there is the 3th one and i tell u guy dooo not buy thesse .. buy otherss more expensiv they cost me till now 1000 and the sound is not fixed yet .. hopefully ill found a way

Got these in the mail today to find them rusted and also they had small pinholes in the welds. I even put my flashlight inside and could see the light shining through (EXHAUST LEAK!!). I do not recommend buying these due to the poor quality of the product. I'm returning these for a refund. I talked to American Muscle and they were very understanding, apologetic and helpful and stated that they would look into this problem with MAC. They are also refunding me and even paid for return shipping. THANKS AMERICAN MUSCLE!

The worst build quality, decent results

Bought these on sale a month back. Took 'em to a mechanic friend of mine to have them installed. We could not get them to align. We tried everything, but they simply would not line up. Finally got them on, and they leaked. Bad. Called the manufacturer, they swore that gaskets were unnecessary. They lied. Ended up buying a set of BBK header gaskets, and I recommend you do so as well. Also, the head flanges were very very pitted and poorly constructed. MAC's quality control is absolutely terrible. After about 30 hours, I finally had my headers on without a single leak. They sound pretty nice on my mostly stock setup. Moral of the story: gaskets. Get them. Thick ones too.

I'm sorry you had such a rough time with the installation of these headers. We'll get in contact with MAC and try to figure out what is going on with the gasket issue so to avoid similar problems in the future. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us on this product!

Makes my show car even "showier" and the V6 even beastlier

I got these for graduation and love them! They are great on my mod'ed V6. Most V6 stangs you find are plane jane but with these and a few other mod's from A.M. you can't beat 'em for style and MPG's. I drive my car daily and these gave me a noticeable difference in throttle acceleration and MPGs. LOVE THEM! :-) Just be sure to keep em polished if you drive daily like I do!
