if i later decide to go with long tube headers will these still work

      • If you were to decide to later switch to long tube headers, the MAC Off-Road Pro Chamber Mid Pipe (79-93 5.0L) will not be able to work as the end that connects to the downpipe is a different size. I would suggest going with the MAC Off-Road Pro Chamber Mid Pipe - Manual (79-93 5.0L w/ Long Tube Headers) item #40070 (

I put them on with ease after I found out which way they went. I like the sound of them

          Great Product

Install was simple, but took a bit of elbow grease. Not sure if the alignment of the hangers was a touch off or not, but eventually wrestled it into place. Noticed an immediate bump in power. This product truly works; on a SC'd car it was easy to tell the difference after taking the cats off. The O2 sensor placement is also a bit easier to get at than the OE pipe. Sounds glorious. Not too loud, just right to make some noise pulling away from a red light.

          Excellent product

A little more expensive than a regular off-road pipe but well worth the money . Fit and finish was excellent took about 1/2 to install . Very easy to line up . Quiets down the exhaust when using the American Thunder exhaust compared to a regular H-pipe or X-pipe. had to tweak the air pump pipe a little to get air pipe properly lined up .

          Great sound and exhaust flow!

The Mac Pro Chamber has a great tone when combined with the Mac cat back system. Add some additional HP in a little over 2 hours.

          86 hatchback

Great quality and fit perfectly in with my bbk shorty headers and flowmaster cat back. Not much change in sound at idle or when cruising. But the first time I punched it it sounded the way a muscle car should and the power increase was phenomenal. Everything came wrapped nicely in one kit with all the hardware. I did have to chase some of the threads because of the aluminum finish but other than that it was well worth the money.

          great product.

All in all not a bad system. They should label the pipes to make the install a little easier per the shop installer. On my car they needed to relocate the O2 bung on the passenger side.
