Thinking about flo's from SLP or these Mac's for a Stock 2003 GT? I drive this car only on nice days, but want it to sound mean.

    • I would recommend the MAC Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust, you are going to get a nice rumble but nothing too loud, since it does have two resonators. Plus this is a way easier installation!

What is the difference in these MAC chambered mufflers and the others? The site has this one listed as being louder.

    • The mufflers on this specific exhaust do not contain any packing material, which will normally deteriorate and eventually change the sound of the exhaust system. Since this one does not have any packing material the sound and tone of the exhaust will stay the same over time.

The item states stainless, yet says aluminized in the description except for the tips. Is this correct?

    • This system is made of aluminized steel but the exhaust tips will be stainless steel. We apologize for the confusion.

      02 GT, non-rolled tips just doesn't fit!

I'll go ahead and write the first review but not for the $10 that comes with it. I have the following: QA1 K-member, BBK shorty headers, BBK X-pipe and when fitting the MAC cat-back system, I encounter fitments issues as in the rear differential will come in contact with the mufflers. Im not sure where I gain an extra 3in. (at least) from my old exhaust to the MACs. I now have to dish out extra $$ to have a shop cut the tubes prior to the mufflers to make it fit. Currently running Flowmaster 40 originals dumped but I cant afford to have my little one breath in exhaust fumes. Quality is always amazing with MAC, this would be my second time running MACs cat-backs.
