- How to Install Wheels on Your 1979-2013 Mustang
Hey, guys, Justin with AmericanMuscle.com here. In this video, I'm going to be taking a closer look at the MMD Zeven wheels fitting all 2005 and newer Mustangs, available in your choice of either charcoal, gloss black or silver. If you haven't noticed lately, MMD has been cranking out some really cool parts for your Mustang from wheels to spoilers and everything in between with the goal of separating your Mustang from the rest. Now if you would like to keep tabs on MMD's future wheel releases or new parts for the 2015 and newer Mustangs, then be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel if you haven't done so already. So the Zeven is the latest wheel creation from industry leader, MMD. Now the idea with this wheel design was to basically create a modern yet aggressive Split 5 Spoke wheel that will look just as good on your track car as it would your weekend show car.Sizing wise, the MMD Zeven wheels are available on both 19 and 20-inch diameters and in widths ranging from 8-1/2 to 10 inches. If you guys have seen our wheel videos before, you know where I'm going with this. You can stick the wider wheel and tire in the rear and that'll give you the staggered fitment – a look a lot of Mustang owners prefer. On the other hand, if you do value the ability to rotate those tires in the future, then you might want to look into a standard or square fitment, meaning you have the same width wheel and tire on all four corners much like our competition orange Mustang behind me.While we are on the topic of fitment, I do want to point out that the Zeven wheels will not fit '11 to '14 Shelby GT500s or '11 to '14 GTs equipped with Brembo brakes without the use of a small spacer. However on the other hand, the Zeven wheels will fit on a 2015 Mustang without issue even including performance pack cars with those massive 6 Piston Brembos. When buying new wheels here at AmericanMuscle.com, you do have a few options. Of course you can't just purchase the wheels by themselves if you'd like, but then you have to buy the tire separately and get them mounted and balanced, transport them, all of which can be a little bit of a hassle. On the other hand here, we'll do all the work for you. We'll mount and balance your new tires. We'll install your optional TPMS sensors and then ship them to your door absolutely free if you check out one of our pre-built tire and wheel combinations available through the site here. Now, guys, if you would like to learn more about some of these pre-built tire and wheel kits and just click on the link below to head back to the product page. And while you're there, check out some of those optional TPMS sensors or even a new set of lug nuts. When the wheels and tires do eventually make their way to you, installing them onto your ride is pretty much Wrenching 101. Basically you want to crack the lugs loose first before you get the car in the air. Once the car is in the air, simple remove those lug nuts, swap out all four wheels and tires, install the new lug nuts and you should be good to go in about an hour or less. Now if you do have any questions about this process or if you have any more questions about the Zeven wheels themselves, feel free to reach out to one of our Mustang experts. They're always standing by ready to give you guys a hand. So if you're looking for a modern, track-inspired wheel from industry leader, MMD, then you'll want to check out the Zeven available exclusively at AmericanMuscle.com.
