These MMD Quarter Window Louvers in carbon fiber for '05 to '14 Mustangs, they're a good option for the guys out there that like the look of an aftermarket old-school inspired exterior appearance but that don't wanna go with a traditional painted quarter window louver. These quarter window louvers are a quick and easy way to enhance the exterior appearance in a non-permanent way. So it's a good option for those owners that are looking to just add a little bit something more but that aren't looking to get crazy modifying, and the carbon fiber gives a totally different custom look to the louver. The install for these louvers is easy. It's a one outta three wrenches in the difficulty meter. You can plan on spending about a half an hour getting these on the car. So there's a ton of different quarter window louver options for these cars, and it's all gonna come down to personal preference and the kind of look that you like. Styling wise, these louvers are less sportsy than some other options out there. They have what I consider an old-school design that doesn't really pop off of the car that much, and that's gonna give them a different appearance. They look a little bit flatter to me and are one of the more sleek options. You can see that these have a stepped louvered design, which is a throwback to the '60s and '70s, and it resembles the rear window louvers. These have a carbon fiber finish, which is gonna be much different than your other options out there. So MMD offers these same louvers unpainted or pre-painted to match your Mustang's factory paint color, but the carbon fiber option stands on its own. Carbon fiber gives a different kind of look and it isn't for everyone, but if you're trying to match other carbon fiber exterior pieces or you just want a little touch of carbon fiber, this is an easy way to add that. These are made from 100% real carbon fiber. They've also been vacuumed infused with resin for strength, and you can see that these have a very smooth appearance. They do have a glossy finish, but I will say that if you wanna keep the looks of the carbon fiber, then you're gonna wanna keep these waxed. The sun and elements can damage the carbon fiber, and keeping a coat of wax on these will keep them looking like new. One thing that I'll mention here is that the backside of these things isn't necessarily pretty. So if you're worried about seeing the backside from inside of the car, then you always have the option of grabbing some Quarter Window Blackout Decals to hide the backside. The Blackout Decals cost 25 bucks and they're just a little styling upgrade if you're worried about the looks from inside of the car. When it comes to price, you can expect to pay right about $280 for these. Right off the bat, I'll say that carbon fiber tends to be expensive and that's what's driving the price up a little bit here. The unpainted MMD louvers cost $80 and the pre-painted louvers cost $180. So there are less expensive options in the same louver design with a different finish. Another great thing about these window louvers is the install. I'm not sure it can get any easier than this. You're looking at spending about a half hour. I'm gonna call it a one outta three wrenches in the difficulty meter, even though you won't need any tools to get this done. These come almost ready to install, right outta the box. You will need to put some 3M tape on these yourself. The only other way that this could get any easier is if they had the 3M tape pre-installed on the back already. To start the install, since these install onto the window and not onto the body, you're gonna wanna make sure that the windows are as clean as possible, and I'm talking no bugs, no grime, or any of that. Once the window's clean, apply the 3M tape to the backside of the louver. You're gonna wanna put the tape on the flat contact areas on the louver. After the tape is installed, remove all the backing and line up the louver with the rear corner of the glass. Then line the louver up with the top trim while still holding the bottom corner away from the glass, then attach the bottom and front of the louver to the glass. You really only have one chance at lining this up correctly, so just make sure that you take your time. Once everything's lined up, press firmly on the louvers in the areas where the tape is touching the glass. You wanna make sure that you're gonna create a good seal here. One other thing to mention here is that you should allow the tape to adhere for 24 hours before driving the car. If you don't let it set, the adhesion could fail and you could be looking at your louver taking flight. That's it as far as the install, but if you wanna take a look at the fit, you can see that these things do fit very nicely. That's gonna be it for the MMD Quarter Window Louvers in carbon fiber for the 2005 to 2014 Mustang. You can always check them out more online right here at americanmuscle.com.

These are the best looking quarter window louvers. They’re sleek and aggressive. Carbon fiber matches TruFiber, APR Performance, and Speedform carbon fiber products. I have parts from all three companies and they all look identical.Helpful (0)

Product looks good, installs easily and is a nice addition to my 2013 California Special GT. Because of my satisfaction with this product I ordered many more carbon fiber products. Not all are as well built or fit as well as these louvers.Helpful (7)

Very easy to install took me about 30 minutes. They look incredible and make my car stand out. Sometimes there is some noise when driving but it's very little and if you have a loud exhaust you shouldn't hear it all Overall very pleased with this productHelpful (8)
I had this item saved in my list on here for a little while now hoping it would come back in stock. But now it's listed as discontinued. Is there going to be a replacement that is comparable to this item that is real carbon fiber construction? Or is "carbon fiber appearance" all that is available now? If so, is there perhaps another manufacturer that may sell carbon fiber construction or does MMD maybe do special orders? Thanks for your reply.
