Review & Install Video
Modern Billet's polished upper grille insert with the shredded Raptor logo is a great option for any of my 2010 through 2014 Raptors that are out there tjat are looking to make a big change up front and ditch the factory Ford letters for something a little bit more sleek and modern looking. Now this is going to help bring out the best to your Raptor's already aggressive front end, while all installing in a matter of minutes, and for that, you are looking at an extremely easy 1 outta 3 wrenches on our difficulty meter, about a 10 to 15 minute job, and I'm gonna show you how coming up soon.
But the SVT Raptor looks great on its own. It's wide, it's menacing, its got a face that any mother could love, so why would you wanna bother adding something like this to your front end? Well, first and foremost, guys, your front end's hitting absolutely everything in sight, be it sand in the desert, trees and brush on the trails, or just picking up bugs and stones on the road around town. Your Ford letters might be a little bit tired or worn out looking from years of abuse.
Now with Modern Billet's insert, you're gonna be ditching the factory Ford letters for something that I think that just should've come on the Raptor from the factory. Now it's gonna feature this very on point Raptor logo and it's gonna make your front end that much more prominent, but it's not gonna be someone that looks tacky as this really matches the Raptor's branding perfectly. Now additionally, I really think that that this is gonna compliment other silver accents on the Raptor, like your front skid plate and even your factory wheels. Now I think this is a really nice alternative to doing something like a full grille swap because you're gonna be losing the letters up front and you didn't wanna get into a grille down the road or just change up the look because we all have a tendency to do so. These aren't a permanent modification, but it is also worth pointing out that the parts of the Raptor just aren't cheap by any stretch, so it is a pretty viable option in my opinion.
Looking at the construction here, guys, we're gonna see that this U.S.-made insert is manufactured from a 100% stainless steel that is gonna be finished off in a very high shine. And its also worth pointing out that this is an officially licensed Ford product. But something that I really like about this is that you're not gonna have to worry about this finish fading, tarnishing, or coming apart like you'd find with an inexpensive plastic. And for that, this makes this a great contender, in my opinion, to cover up surface imperfections or damage on your factory letters, while still being able to take a beating on or off-road. But the best part is since this is 100% really stainless, it's actually gonna look all right with a few scratches and scuffs. And if you wanna clean it back up, you can easily make it look new with some high grit sandpaper and a little bit of polish.
In terms of the pricing here, guys, expect to be spending about 400 bucks to get this on to your truck, which I know it sounds a little bit steep all things considered, but there are other options out there that can get past a thousand bucks real quick, but that's gonna be a full grille with the letters being deleted, and at that point you might have to do some permanent modifications to your Raptor.
But switching gears to the install portion in the video, just like what I had said up top, guys, this is gonna warrant an extremely easy one outta three wrenches on our difficulty meter here. It's a 10 to 15 minute job because this is a peel and stick operation. But before you do get these on to your truck, you're gonna wanna clean your existing letters and make sure they're free of any type of grease or road grime. Now once they're cleaned off, take some of the supplied adhesive promotor, run that over your factory letters, peel the backing off of the new insert, get it in place, give it a solid push all the way around, and then you're good to go.
So that's gonna wrap up my quick review and breakdown of Modern Billet's polished upper grille insert featuring the Raptor logo, fitting the 2010 through 2014 raptor, that can be found right here at americantrucks.com.
