The welds are really good it’s a quality piece but will do the same as an eBay separator. Only reason I got it is because I have moroso reservoirs. But still overall I like the productHelpful (8)

Moroso Universal Aluminum Breather Tank
I installed this right before going TT. Very easy to use and does the job well while still looking clean. I run e-85 now with my twin setup. I never knew how much blow by these coyote engines had until I saw the gasses escaping from the top of the breather. its a relief knowing that these gasses and oil are not being sucked back into my intake. great product!Helpful (7)

I put this on my procharged 99 svt cobra and it's great, bolted it right to the firewall and routed hoses from each pvc valve right into the catch can, no more oil all over my engine bay under high boostHelpful (8)

Well, so far, so good. This can looks to be a quality product. I like knowing that the sizes of all three ports are big enough for V8"s. I don't know if I could call it "baffled", but there is a tube that goes about halfway down, then there's a stainless pot scrubber in there. Hey, it works. Also, it looked to be too big for my 2011 GT's engine compartment, but it turned out to be exactly the right size. Perfect fit.Helpful (8)
I'm a Noob! What is this!? Hi, sorry to bother. What is this? I want it and have read that it doesn't allow oil into the engine but was wondering what this is exactly. I drive a high performance V6 3.8L would I benefit from this product? Thank you!
Hi Kbails84...These are generally used on engines with a super charger and they will keep the super chargers from drawing up oil which can get into your intake pheleum and make a gooie mess of it. I'm running a kenny bell super charger on my stang and I have 2 of these oil air filters on my engine. They do an exellent job of catching the excess oil that would other wise be sucked in to the intake passages. I don't think you would benifit from them unless your running a super charger on your car. I hope this helps you out!
I have a 2006 V6, how in the world do I install this. I have it drilled in but I have no clue where the hoses go
To install the Moroso Universal Aluminum Breather Tank you would need two ended male nipples with a 3/8" fitting on the other side and some hose that connects to the nipples from the catch can on one end. The two other ends of the hose will be routed to the PCV with one hose and one to the intake, on the other hose. If you attach the other to the intake tube and not the intake manifold, just remember to attach it after the MAF, as oil vapor will damage it. You will need some miscellaneous adapters and clamps depending how you install it specifically.
Will this fit V6 Mustang? Will this breather tube sit up fit and work well with a 2004 V6 Mustang?
Yes, this Moroso Breather Tank has a universal fitment and will work perfectly fine on your '04 V6.
Does this come with fittings for the side of the tank where you would hook your hoses to?
This will contain the tank, the filter, the drain plug, and the mounting bracket.
Does this come with fittings for the sides off the tank?
The Moroso Universal Aluminum Breather Tank will not include any hose or tubing.
We do not recommend using a breather in a MAF equipped car, as this can cause air/fuel ratio issues, as fresh, unmetered air can be drawn into the intake via the PCV system if a breather is equipped, and the car will not accommodate for this air.
The Moroso Breather tank would be similar to your Moroso Oil/Air Separator. The difference is that yours would be enclosed and the breather is not.
This Moroso Universal Aluminum Breather Tank can be plugged on one side and still relieve crank case pressure. This can be used on either side valve cover with the proper fittings.
If you installed the Moroso Universal Aluminum Breather Tank and are now having issues, I would go back over every connection. If the car is now running like it is cammed you most likely have a vacuum leak. Please feel free to call or chat in with one of our Mustang experts to help further diagnose the problem you are having.
The Moroso Universal Aluminum Breather Tank has a 28oz capacity.
This is a good upgrade if you were looking to minimize your sludge. This will help the car breathe better and last longer. Also, keep in mind that you will want to change the oil appropriately which will also diminish the chance of sludging.
Venting to atmosphere will not allow most of the oil vapor to make its way back into the intake track, however, it is considered a slight vacuum leak/opening, and may have oil smell go back into the cabin. The closed vacuum source will allow some oil back into the intake tract, and it will keep a close system.
The Moroso Universal Aluminum Breather Tank (79-17 All) has only been test fitted for the 79-17 mustangs. This will be a universal fit for any trim mustang. We would not be able to gaurentee fitment on anything other then a mustang.
The Moroso Universal Aluminum Breather Tank is designed to prevent oil getting sucked into the intake track and into the motor. Oil will deter a fuels octane, if caught in the combustion chamber. Forced induction vehicles are tuned more aggressively, and the oil catch can would be best for those engines, as any bit of oil can caused failure easier than a non-forced induction engine. This product would be beneficial to any engine, and especially those that are aggressively tuned.
