Review & Install Video
Hey, what's going on, guys? Adam here with americanmuscle.com and today I'm bringing you a detailed review of the Lloyd black floor mats, fitting the front of all 2015 and newer Mustangs. So if you're the owner of a new 2015 or newer Mustang, then you might be interested in keeping your factory carpeting looking factory fresh like it came right off the assembly line. If that is the case, you might be interested in picking up a set of they Lloyd black plain floor mats, fitting the front of all S550s.
So a set of aftermarket floor mats are really a no-brainer for the guys out there looking to keep their carpeting factory fresh, protecting it from any outside elements that could potentially stain or ruin them. Now with that said, this does do all that while keeping the factory styling with the plain black look, while at the same time making your cleanup process a lot easier on you.
Now the first thing you really look at when shopping for a floor mat is how much protection it will serve for your factory carpeting. Now as I mentioned, this one does protect your carpeting and makes your cleanup process a lot easier, but the second thing you want to look at is the styling. Now this one, as I said and as you can see here, is the plain black option from Lloyd, but if you're not interested in a plain, boring black, you can pick up the 5.0 logo, the Pony logo, the Triboro logo, and even a couple of Shelby options to support your current package in your S550 if you want some interior styling.
So these mats I have here from Lloyd are woven from a soil-resistant polypropylene and feature a loop style construction with a multi-layer backing for added moisture resistance. So another added bonus to these floor mats is they actually utilize the OEM anchoring system, which is definitely beneficial for when you're driving around. You don't have to worry about them sliding all over the place. Now in the back of these mats, you'll notice there are tons of little spikes to make sure when they're on the ground and they're anchored in, they're not shifting around as well, so they really get a good bond with the factory carpeting.
Overall, these mats offer a perfectly good OEM styling with the plain black from Lloyd, while also protecting against moisture and dirt and outside elements. Now as I mentioned a few times before, this does make your cleanup process a lot simpler. Now let me explain what I mean. Now, of course, it is a regular carpeting like your OEM styling, that's kind of the point of the plain black, but then again, it does make you have to scrub them clean just like you would your OEM carpeting. Now with this installed, all you have to do is remove them from the car so you don't have to bend over backwards, get on your hands and knees to scrub, moving seats up and back to get a thorough cleaning. With this, you take them out, you scrub them outside the car, pop them back in when you're ready for a hassle-free cleaning.
Now obviously this is just a front only kit, so it leaves the rear hanging. So if you want to pick up a set of rear floor mats to match these fronts, you can always do that on the site as well, or they are also offered in a convenient combo kit to make it a lot easier for you when you're shopping around. Now if you're shopping for just the fronts that I have here, the price wise, you'll be expecting to spend about 50 bucks, which is extremely affordable for a set of front floor mats that protect your carpeting while keep the OEM styling nice and fresh. Now if you're looking to get the rear set as well, you can pick up the combo kit for just 20 bucks more than that, which, in my opinion, is definitely a steal considering all the bang for your buck you're getting with these.
Now I'm not even sure you can call this an installation, but I will walk you through that if you need it. Now with this, obviously, it only takes a few minutes to pop them in the respective places, whether it be the driver or passenger, and hook in the OEM anchoring positions where applicable. Now if you're doing the rears as well, you may have to clean out your rear seats to get those back in there, but that should be just as simple. Now obviously, like I said, extremely simple. I would definitely give this install a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, but that's needless to say.
Now just to quickly wrap things up, guys, if you're the owner of a 2015 or a newer Mustang and you're looking for a very affordable way to get an OEM styling floor mat to protect your factory carpeting, you might want to check out the Lloyd black floor mats for the front of your S550, of course, available right here at americanmuscle.com
