Whether you simply need a replacement or want a transmission that can easily handle some additional power, then you need to upgrade to the Performance Automatic Super Streeter 5R55 S/W Automatic Transmission. This transmission is the perfect replacement upgrade for your old automatic and is capable of handling up to 450 horsepower, making it ideal for someone making mild to moderate modifications to their Pony.

Built Better than Ford Tough. The Performance Automatic modified 5R55 Transmission is equipped with high performance clutches and bands and some tricked out modifications to the hydraulic circuits, which ultimately will reduce the generation of heat. With the tweaks made by Performance Automatic, your Mustang GT will have crisper shifts, improved thrust capacities and will endure a longer life. The Deep Aluminum Transmission Pan and Filler Tube, sold separately.

Application. The Performance Automatic Super Streeter 5R55 S/W Automatic Transmission is specifically designed for use in the 2005 to 2010 GT Mustangs equipped with a 4.6L V8 engine.Shipping Note: This product can not be shipped to an APO/FPO, Guam, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska, the US Virgin Islands or Canada address. is this transmission equipped with overdrive? I wanted to know if this transmission came with overdrive abd how many speeds it has is it a 5 speed?

  • 5th gear and overdrive are one and the same. So it is 4 speed with overdrive.

    What a headache

    I bought one with the matching torque converter. Poor clumsy shifting, faulty solenoid pack. TCI sent me a replacement pack, now I have even more error codes. What a waste of money. TCI is no leader in quality auto parts. Save your money.

    Great upgrade

    Bought this after I tore up my stock transmission in my 2010 GT. Runs really smooth and is awesome paired up with my TCI StreetFighter Torque Converter. Price is higher now than when I purchased it, and it should be noted that this item doesn't ship from American Muscle and took longer than was advertised when I ordered it.
