Step 1: Verify kit contents.

Step 2: Clean the bottom surface of the headlights using 90% Isopropyl alcohol where the LED Dayliner Lights will be installed. ASSEMBLY NOTE: The power cord will run between the grille and fender. Ensure there are no moving parts that may cause damage to the cord.

Step 3: Align the driver side Putco LED Dayliner with the driver side head light.

Step 4: Remove the protective backing to expose the tape and apply to the headlight by applying constant pressure for 30 seconds.

Step 5: Open the hood and locate the headlight. (Note: F-150 Trucks have one halogen bulb for low & high beams)

Step 6: Remove three 10mm bolts that hold the headlight in place and pull the head light straight back. This allows better access to the wiring harness. (Note: The headlight will require a little force to remove it from the fender.)

Step 7: Run the gray Putco LED Dayliner wire behind the headlight to the halogen bulb wiring harness. (NOTE: You will have extra wire from the Putco Dayliner light so remove any excess wire that is not needed.)

Step 8: Tap into the driver side headlight wiring harness by stripping the black protective cover back using a wire stripper to expose the brown w/blue tracer and black wires. (Note: If your wire colors differ you will need to use a voltage
reader to identify the daytime running lights positive ( ) wire and ground (-) wire.)
(CAUTION: DO NOT CUT THE WIRES IN HALF!!!)

Step 9: Attach the Putco Red ( ) wire to the Factory Brown w/Blue Tracer ( ) wire and the Putco Black (-) wire to the Factory Black (-) wire using the supplied scotch locks and your electrical crimping tool.

Step 10: Reattach the headlight housing and three 10mm bolts that you removed in step 6.

Step 11: Verify everything is connected securely and turn the vehicle lights on to test the LED Dayliner Light. (NOTE: Your Putco LED Dayliner Lights will only operate when the vehicle is on and the daytime running lights are on or when the low beams are in use. They will not operate with high beams.)

Step 12: Repeat steps 2-11 for the passenger side. The passenger side wiring harness differs from the driver side. Attach the Putco Red ( ) wire to the Factory Blue w/Green Tracer ( ) wire and the Putco Black (-) wire to the Factory Black w/Purple Tracer (-) wire using the supplied scotch locks and your electrical crimping tool.

Note: If your lights do not turn on verify the connection between the Factory and Putco wiring is secured properly.
