Greater Power Flow. If you’re looking to enhance your Mustang in the most practical manner, then the Pypes 1-7/8-inch Long Tube Off-Road Performance Connect Headers are the way to go. Unlike other long tube headers, these utilize a “step” design. This specialized design uses progressively larger diameter tubes, starting from a 1-3/4-inch primary tube, then a tube measuring 1-7/8-inches across, and finally into a 3-inch wide collector. This design allows exhaust gases to escape your engine faster, resulting in better power numbers due to the severe decrease in backpressure.
Tough and Guttural Exhaust Roar. The Pypes 1-7/8-inch Long Tube Off-Road Performance Connect Headers has an added benefit of giving your Mustang a tough, guttural exhaust roar. With the headers in place, the exhaust sound starts off as a low yet aggressive rumble that builds up into a deep, guttural roar when you accelerate. This roar fits nicely with your Mustang’s muscular look. This system will allow for a full 3-inch to 3-inch Mid pipe for optimal flow and sound from your coyote engine.
Deleted Factory Cats. The Pypes 1-7/8-inch Long Tube Off-Road Performance Connect Headers deletes the stock catalytic converter, making its use not street-legal. Please check local regulations for the use of these headers.
Ultra Durable Build Quality. The Pypes 1-7/8-inch Long Tube Off-Road Performance Connect Headers are completely mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel tubing. This construction method eliminates spots along the headers where turbulence can occur, as well as adding rigidity. The headers’ “step” design starts out with a 1-3/4-inch wide tubing, that steps up into a 1-7/8-inch tube, finally terminating at a 3-inch wide collector, with fully TIG-welded joins.
ECU Re-Tuning Highly Suggested. Since the Pypes 1-7/8-inch Long Tube Off-Road Performance Connect Headers eliminates the factory catalytic converter, it is strongly suggested that an ECU re-tune be performed on your Mustang. This is to properly synchronize your engine and the new header system.
Not CARB Certified. The Pypes 1-7/8-inch Long Tube Off-Road Performance Connect Headers are not CARB-certified. These headers are illegal to use in California or other states that have adopted CARB certification. Please check your local laws for permitted applications.
