All the parts were included and fit was great. Still a little grinding necessary but well worth the effort. We did a dyno run before and after. The results were an increase of 199 HP to 574 HP and 518 ft lbs of torque, awesome.

        Roush stage 1 supercharger

A big noticeable increase in power. It took me about 40 hours to install, The timing cover mod took me a while but if I had a bigger compressor it would have been a lot faster. The instructions would be better with color photos some images were hard to figure out. The intercooler hoses weren't labeled and took more time to figure out. A 10 hour install would be possible in a shop if you had done one before and with a newer car. On a 4 year old car with 50k miles some of the plastic fasteners don't come out very easy and half didn't come out in 1 price. When I got it together the check engine light came on and the code was air fuel ratio imbalance bank 2. If this happens call Roush they had an updated tune. I had to send the pcm back to get it recalibrated and it fixed the problem. I have since put 1000 miles on it with no problems and it is great. All together my car was down for a week for the install and initial flash then another 3 days for the second. It took 3 days to get the pc back so plan on that. If you do this yourself just plan on 2 weeks of down time it shouldn't be that bad but better safe than sorry. Having to take the pcm back out and send it in a second time did cost more time but it's the nature of the beast. I am happy with the install but want to tell of everything that happened to let other people know.

        2014 Roushcharged 5.0

As previously mentioned, this kit's installation is straightforward and simple to install. I am not an ASE tech; just a good 'ole shop-head. All-in-all the installation took approximately 20 hours, working at a slow-to-moderate pace (mainly due to my own O.C.D. / beer time). First and foremost, the customer service and shipping were terrific with both American Muscle and Roush. Here are a few lessons learned: as mentioned before, ship out the PCM immediately. I shipped mine out Thursday afternoon, Roush flashed and shipped Friday morning, and I had the PCM in hand around 1015 Monday. For the timing-cover modification, don't be overwhelmed. As mentioned by another reviewer, the later 5.0 timing covers were redesigned to remove some of the material you are expected to remove for the installation. Instead of the 7 places (early 2012s and back), there are only 3 points to modify. The depinning process isn't too bad; trickiest part is releasing the retaining bar that holds the pin in-place (inside the actual harness). I used a very small allen key which I filled flat and thin. Just make sure to carefully insert under the retaining bar and lift up slightly to release the pin head. Otherwise, the installation was great; just take your time and reread the guide and use google as needed (you know, measure twice...). The shipment arrived in three boxes: the supercharger, the intercooler, and then everything else. The one, single issue with the kit (really not even an issue)...the instructions were pretty blurry…looked like a bad print was all. Roush hooked me up with a digital copy of the current install guide...just shoot them an email. As an added note, anyone looking to replace their STB can avoid the following (trial and error on my ya some shipping and headache): the Steeda 555-5722 GT500 bar, the Steeda 555-5726-WHP, and the FRPP M-20201-C GT500 bar. The GT500 bars were the closest but all three either hit the intake and/or hood; however I can confirm the O.E.M. Ford GT500 bar from the '07-'09s (Ford part # 7R3Z-16A200-B) will fit. These are typically on backorder from Ford, however JLT has them (with paint options too). Finally, the good stuff…Dyno results. My only pre-S/C mod (that would affect HP) was the Flowmaster Outlaw Axle Backs. I am fairly certain either Ford, Roush, or a combination of the two sandbagged the stock/gained HP. I pulled 530 RWHP / 465 RWTQ on a Mustang dyno (pull 2/3, but all 3 were close). I feel the results might be a smidge high and plan to re-dyno, but estimate only a 5 inflation max. I HIGHLY recommend this kit: it is very controllable, smooth throttle response, and MASSIVE power when you want!

575HP Phase 1 Roush Supercharger Kit

I was on the fence about getting the supercharger for a long while until I finally decided to man up and get it. I am not mad that I got it. It's monstrous and I absolutely love it! It doesn't matter who's beside me at the red light, whether it's granny in her 89 Buick or a teenager with rich parents in a corvette...I'm racing you! Lol This is definitely worth it and I couldn't be happier right now, that is until I upgrade to a phase 2 or 3, but currently, I still have my factory warranty, which is awesome. If you're on the fence like I was, just do it like Nike! Lol

        This is a great package

First let me say that American Muscle offers terrific customer support and excellent service. I ordered this product on a Tuesday and it arrived on a Friday but enough of how great America Muscle is to deal with. I'll start out by stating I am an ASE certified Master Tech. The install went straight forward once I located a supplementary instal guide online specific for cars with automatics. The automatic install is a bit different and the standard instructions aren't the greatest. I also purchased an inexpensive plug and play wiring harness kit that made the install much simpler without all of the wiring harness de-pinning. The install went well. Roush racing did a fantastic job turning the PCM around (took two days total to get it back). All in all I would recommend this kit to anyone. Take your time on the install and it does go smoothly. Also as a last note. The timing cover modification that everyone appears to fear online is not that big of a deal. My hat is off to American Muscle and Roush. This is a fantastic solution, for an excellent price, and in my opinion the best bang for the buck out there as far as supercharging options are concerned.

        Roush R2300 575HP Supercharger - Phase 1 Kit (11-14 GT)

Awesome power gain. Installation guide needs to be updated for the specific year. Most difficult part was depinning the electrical connectors, bought the depining tool but was to large to be used on most of the wiring harness connectors. At this price point I would think that their could be an adapter that would plug in between the factory wiring harness and the extension harness supplied with the kit to relocate the connectors to the rear of the engine.

        Roush charged 2014 GT

Took a day and a half for me to install myself, one thing they don't mention in the manual that they should, after trimming down the timing cover, TEST FIT and also after filling coolant you will need to find a way to start circulating the coolant,it is filled with air after all in the beginning, it doesn't mention this in the manual. Overall a good product and I can spin it on the freeway going 60. And I have 305's!!! If your squeamish about making mods directly to the engine I would have a shop do it so you can have some peace of mind, I was racking my brain, glad I did it though!

        5 2012 GT - f32flyer Installation Time: Weekend

        Roushcharged 2012 GT, otherwise stock

The kit is actually pretty darn easy to install. With some moderate mechanical skills anyone could install this in their home garage like I did. It took me two days working at a moderately slow pace to complete everything. Make sure you get that PCM in the mail as soon as you can so you're not left waiting... I sent it out at 1100 on Monday and had it back in my hands by 1030 on Wednesday, as advertised. There are two tricky parts of the install, at least they were for me. The instructions show exactly where to cut/grind on the timing cover, and you can find more photos online to be sure. However, the timing cover differs from 2011 and early 2012 to the later 2012's and up. Ford redesigned the timing covers of the latter to remove some ribbing that interferred with the A/C compressor. So there are 7 places to cut for the former and 3 places for the latter. Also, get an electrical connector depinning tool or very tiny screwdriver and learn how to depin a connector, because you'll have to do so about 3 times during the install. It's a bit tricky if you haven't done it before (like me). I found a great addendum to the Roush Instructions on an SVT performance forum, just google it and it should help you out as well. My car put down 477 rwhp and 416 rwtq on a Mustang Dyno (pull 1/3), which is pretty much spot on from the other installs I've seen in the mags. All in all, it's a great kit and I'm very happy... I may or may not have just smoked a modified 04 cobra today :)

With this kit , I know I will require a handheld tuner for everything to run correctly but what I do not understand is the PCM portion with roush ? if I was taking it my local dyno shop for installation with the SCT tuner would I be okay ?

      • As far as the PCM portion with Roush goes for this supercharger, they have a pre-calibrated free tune that you can redeem the voucher for. Of course with that said, you are absolutely able to go to your local Dyno-shop and have a re-calibration session there.
