    Review & Installation Video

    Review & Install Video

Hey, guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the Raxiom Fog Light LED Conversion Kit with H11 Bulbs, fitting all 2005-2009 V6s, as well as all 2010-2014 Mustangs with bumper mounted fog lights. So in this video, of course, I'll be going over the styling and appearance you can expect with this LED conversion kit for your fog lights from Raxiom as well as all the materials and construction. I'll top the video off with the installation, letting you know up front here it will get a very simple one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter because it will be as easy as changing a light bulb and since it is a direct plug and play install it should take a matter of minutes. The Raxiom Fog Light LED Conversion Kit with H11 Bulbs you see here will be for any '10 to '14 Mustang owner with bumper mounted fog lights or any '05 to '09 V6 owner who might be looking to swap out their factory fog light bulbs for a brighter, whiter and overall more attractive finish for light output. Not only will this be a power saving technology which I'll touch on later, it's actually going to be a lot less expensive than any HID kits you might see on the market today. So if you're the owner of an S197 whether it's the early '05 to '05 V6s or the late '10 to '14's with the bumper mounted fog lights, you know that the factory fog lights really aren't the brightest option in the world and don't make too much of a difference when it comes to visibility which, overall, is their main function. If you're looking for an aftermarket replacement there are LEDs, HIDs, there's some yellow options on the market and there's even some factory incandescent replacements. This is going to be the LED conversion to make it a lot brighter, a lot whiter and more attractive without going to one of the HID kits that can run you a ton of money. I did mention a power saving technology just a second ago and that is incorporated into the Raxiom options here which are made to consume 1/10th of the power of your factory bulbs, and they're supposed to last up to 100,000 hours which, of course, is not something stock bulbs, or most aftermarket bulbs can boast. When it comes to materials and construction, these are manufactured to fit directly into your factory fog light housing which, of course, is a huge bonus there so you don't have to pick up a new housing from the aftermarket world to make sure these fit. These also offer a 6,000k color output, now I did mention they were whiter, but 6,000k is either on par if not better than most HID kits on the market today, another good bonus there. Since they are a plug and play fitment, you don't have to worry about cutting or splicing or anything like that. They will connect directly into your factory vehicle wiring harness. As far as the pricing is concerned, if you're shopping online and you notice that there are a bunch of different options from the stock bulbs, to the LEDs and HIDs, LEDs are going to be more expensive than the stock options but they will be less expensive than HIDs. These will fall right around the hundred dollar mark which in my opinion is a worthwhile investment especially if you're trying to convert all of your exterior lighting to LEDs, definitely something you don't want to forget. As far as the installation goes I keep mentioning the plug and play fitment here, as you can see, it will connect into one piece but it will come separated. You plug these two connectors together and then this one will go directly into your factory vehicle wiring harness and then, obviously, just stick this into the housing. Overall, not too bad of a job, repeat that exact same process for the opposite side once you get the factory fog lights out of place. Overall, one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter, I'd say 10 minutes at the absolute maximum. Just to wrap things up, if you're the owner of an '05 to '09 V6 or a '10 to '14 Mustang with bumper mounted fog

Do they fit Roush bumper fog lights ?

    Abdullah

    • The Raxiom Fog Light LED Conversion Bulb Kit are designed to fit the factory fog lights in the 2005-2009 V6 Pony Package and the 2010-2014 Tech Package Mustang with the fog lights in the bumper only. It may fit into the Roush Fog lights, however, it may require some modification, as we cannot guarantee fitment.

Hi I'm from Canada and my 2013 GT uses the bumper mounted fog lights as daytime running lights. Will these bulbs work as daytime running lights? Thanks Rich

    • We have not tested the Raxiom Fog Light LED Conversion Bulb Kit with DRLs. However, it is likely that they will not function properly due to the ballast included in this kit.

Recently purchased the 2012 boss 302 front fascia with fog lights, will these bulbs fit into that fascia kit?

    MichaelB

    • Hi! The Raxiom Fog Light LED Conversion Bulb Kit will work in conjunction with the Ford BOSS/CS Style Lower Front Fascia w/ Fog lights. Both Bulb types are H11 so there shouldn't be any connectivity issues but since it doesn't specifically state the diameter of the bulbs or the diameter of the housing for bulb fitment, so, there may be a possibility that they may not fit.

      Night Day

Ever since i bought my 14 v6 I wasn't crazy about the standard bulbs in the fog lights since they have the HID headlights and have looked at a lot of options including asking the dealer! Finally took the plunge and bought these and couldn't be happier - just a little more expensive then i would of liked! DEFINITELY give the look like it SHOULD be from the factory and really makes a difference driving the dark back roads in my area! They are simple plug-n-play but can be tricky installing them but had the shop install them while i got other stuff done since it was already up on the lift. overall i am very happy with the lights - just hoping they hold up/last to justify the $ spent!

      Superior Difference between OEM Halogens

I have a 2014 Mustang GT that I just installed these lights on. I deleted the fog lights from the grille and moved them into the lower bumper similar to the California Special GT. This was an easy kit to install, that requires no modification. The difference in color temperature is exactly what I was looking for! The only part of the install that concerned me is that the lights are a little bit long, so when you're installing the one on the passenger side, you'll find that the windshield wiper fluid reservoir is touching the backside of the light. I applied a small piece of 3M tape where the light was touching the reservoir, so hopefully over time they wont cut into the tank. Other than this concern, this conversion kit is excellent!

      Awesome fog light upgrade

These things are bright and we'll worth the money. They are 100 times better then the stock ones . Ford should of made these stock on the car. The hardest part of the install is getting the plastic cover off from under the car . Once you do that unscrew the old ones and just screw these in and reinstall the cover and enjoy these. I had no clearance issues with the washer fluid tank on the passenger side like a few others have had.

      Bright white light

Hardest part of the install was trying to figure out how to get to the lights. I ended up removing the plastic underneath the front of the car and was able to reach up and access the fixtures. These lights are great, they are super bright and white. I highly recommend get the matching headlights and the interior lights at the same time, you will not be disappointed.

      LED Fog lights

Great product with a quick and easy install. Longest part of the job is just removing/reinstalling the plastic under shield. After that it's just a few quick pulls to remove the old bulbs and a few quick turns to put in the new.

      Look Great, Bright, Installation Tricky

Ordered these for my 2011 GT that I added the GT/CS front valence to. If you are installing these on a car with the GT/CS valence, Besides the obvious of removing the splash shield, be aware that you WILL have to loosen the bumper on the passenger side and pull it away from the car several inches. The large round piece on the back of the fog light itself causes clearance issues with the wiper washer tank, so pulling the bumper away from the body on that side is the only way to get the fog light in. Once installed though, the lights plug up easily. You will want to have zip ties handy because the plugs on the fog lights lengthen the wiring considerably. When done, you will notice clean, bright white light that looks VERY nice. I'm looking forward to getting the headlights to match.

      These are a must!

First off these should have been factory from Ford, but there not. These are great! I get so many comments on these, that I run with them on most of the time now. Install is simple, but one is tight against the washer fluid tank. I used a zip tie on the cables to keep them from dangling. I called AM customer support when I found it tight on the washer tank and the CSR was awesome and a lot of help. Great job AM! If you want a mod to not only look good, but help with visibility when it is raining, this is it! Well worth it.

They work great in Raxiom's 2010 Style projectors for 05-09!!

I have an 05 GT with Raxiom's Black 2010 Style Projector Halo lights and I was using an H9 35w HID, but I wanted to get away from the messy wires of an HID kit. I did some research and gave it a shot, and this H11 LED kit works great in the 2010 Style Projectors, simple plug an play with no adjustments, but you need to keep the back cover of the housing off so air can circulate over the heat sink for these lights. These lights are very bright and put off a pure white light, not yellowish like halogens, nor blueish like some HID kits. When turned on, these lights do cause a little static interference with the radio signal, but I am using a shorty antenna and the stations are more than 30-40 miles away, so kinda take that with a grain of salt. These lights are kind of expensive, but you get what you pay for, if you're tired of messing with cheap Auction site HID kits that keep going out, then this is the kit for you.

      Fantastic upgrade, however...

I have to admit that I am super excited about these and the amount of light just these put out is seriously impressive. I have an 05 V6 with the small fog lights in the grill, so changing the bulbs is a royal pain to begin with. The biggest issue with these "bulbs" is that the back of them are too long so that it will his a plastic shroud that protects the corners of a small intercooler/radiator. This makes putting the grill back in annoying and frustrating. This is not entirely the design of the rear of the bulbs fault, rather more of a fault for Ford because it is a pain to just get to them. If you do change it out to these it will take maybe an hour because you are trying to disconnect the grill to get easy access to everything. It is more then worth it however. I have not gotten the headlight led's in yet but just the output from the fog lights drowns out the standard H13 bulbs. If you are looking for a good upgrade and do not like the HID designs this is what you want.

      Very nice product

The packaging was beautiful and the product gorgeous. Went in easy as pie. But I have one small complaint. When I went to plug it in I noticed that the plug was universal and could be plugged in either way. Most lights on a car are polarity specific and are keyed in some fashion so you can only plug them in one way like the factory one I took out was. This made me a bit nervous and I looked on line but couldn't find anything on it. It didn't come with any instructions at all. Just a quick note in the box regarding this would have been nice.

      Install issue

Installed easily enough, except that on the passenger side, I needed to move the windshield washer bottle a few millimetres as the heat sync for the LED was touching the bottle. Elongated the mounting points on the bottle and moved it. Lots of light now..

I installed these along with the headlight conversion. simple installation for the fog bulbs, had to remove some plastic under shield with some 7mm and 8mm bolts. Simple plug and play unlike the headlight conversion kit (See my review for that). They look great and affordable.
