Easy Installation. Bulb to LED Conversion Kits are engineered to be a direct replacement for the factory bulbs and include the required ballasts and wiring harnesses for a simple hassle free installation. I have a 2006 Mustang GT and I want to buy the smoked 2010 style headlights for it. In addition I want to get the Raxiom Switchback Turn Signal Conversion Kit w/ Resistors. Would this kit work with the 2010 style headlights and the Switchback kit?

    WillT

    • The Raxiom 2010 Style Smoked Headlights uses an H9 bulb, so the H13 kit would be incompatible with the these lights. The switchbacks would cause no interference.

    • Hello! The Raxiom Headlight LED Conversion Bulb Kit will not fit the Raxiom Smoked Headlights, as they use a different style bulb.

I purchased the spec tuning S550 style headlights for my 2012 with the H1 bulb, would these bulbs be compatible?

    Alyx

    • This bulb conversion will only work with headlights that accept an H13 bulb and socket, and it would not work on the headlights that utilize H1 bulbs.

How does the high beam function on these bulbs? Does the light output become brighter such as the case with halogens, or does it move in/out of the housing such as the case with many high/low beam HID bulbs?

    Blase

    • For the Raxiom Headlight LED Conversion Bulb Kit, when the high beams are activated the light output will increase to provide a wider lit area. This H13 Series LED Bulb conversion kit features a dual beam design with both high and low beams in one convenient LED bulb making it perfect for use in your 2005 to 2012 Mustang.

Good but only shines on one side

Good: they are very bright. Definitely a lot better than the stock bulbs. Negative: when you look at the HEADLIGHTS head on you see they only shine on one side so when I installed them one was shining on the top and one was on the bottom and I rotated them both to the top but when you look at it from in front it doesn't light up the whole headlight. ALSO if you install the Foglights along with the headlights they are so much brighter you will not need the high beams because it is brighter with the heads and the fogs (on GT models). Takes about 5 min to install not long. Overall a great product just bothers me how they only shine on one side of the light housing.

      Hassle free

Great improvement over stock. With the old H13 bulbs you can't see sh** at night when there is no street illumination. This is finally solved. Install went smooth in 10 minutes.

      Great lights

Look 10x better than stock halogens. I changed to a smoked headlight along with the bulb and it still isn't enough output to be very bright with the smoked lens (my brights stay on) but they look great and I'm sure in a regular headlight they would be much brighter than stock. I also didn't have to do any modification the bulb to make it fit in my 2012 5.0

      Great Safety Mod

I ordered these for the safety aspect of having better night vision. They more than satisfied me. They are exactly what I wanted at a good price for the benefits. Appearance is a second reward. I had no problem with clearance or fit on my 2005 GT. The passenger side was an easy install taking only a couple minutes, as I was super careful not to touch the glass part with my fingers or touch the bulbs against the headlamp opening. The driver's side was another story, as I had to completely remove the CAI in order to gain access to the bulb. After installing bulbs, I checked them and noticed the low beam filament was on the outside on the passenger side but on the inside on the driver's side. A simple rotation of the bulb 180 degrees on the driver's side promptly fixed that. It is my understanding that high beams are supposed to be on the inside of dual filament bulbs and also with the older dual headlamp systems. I then reinstalled the CAI and began a much more satisfying night vision experience with my Mustang. Unfortunately, this will be short lived, as I plan to put up car for the winter due to it being a summer driver. I suggest when rotating the bulbs to lock them in the socket slots, to grip the tabs with finger tips and not the metal ballast piece at rear of bulb, because I believe that will twist and damage bulb.

      Poor attachment

I have tried 2 different sets and the 3 tabs that hold the bulb in the housing keep breaking. I didn't even get them in all the way before they broke. First set the one on the right broke and the second set the left broke. I was extra careful with the second set. I gave up and went to regular Sylvania Silverstar Ultra Light Bulbs.

      weak high beam

I used to apply this kit to my 2012 Mustang and found the high beam very weak. Not that it wasn't working - but not meeting my expectation at all. Another point is mounting. The H13 fit is made of plastic, that damages immediatly if you turn the bulbs in without assuring a 100 fit. So controlling this process from the front of your headlights is key for safe installation without any damages. Prevent turning by using the cooling elements as handle, same problem with the weak H13 fit material. I hope this helps others to prevent my mistakes, regardless of the high beam issue ;-) Finally I got back to Halo's (sorry about my English ... I'm from Germany.)

Really like them although not sure I have them in correctly. Would help if some instructions were included. Much brighter than the SilverStars which I had installed.

      Poor quality

These bulbs are not designed well. Issue is mainly with the wiring. Will result in either flickering or loss of high beam wth slight movement of wires.

      A MUST GET!

Install was easy. Old bulbs were not bright enough. Big improvement over stock lights. Hit a big buck last year. After costly repairs to front of car I needed better head lights. Lighting improves if you add the LED fog lights to match. After installation check the alignment because you have two sets of really bright lights. Fog lights are adjustable. Enjoy the view!

      Light me up!

I installed the smoked headlight vinyls and found the headlight beam woefully inadequate. I already had the LED conversion on order and once rec'd and installed, found them to provide the extra brightness required to cut through the smoked filters. They produce a bright white light and look very sharp as well. Good purchase for the price at under $100.

      Amazing LED Headlights

These lights are bright and work perfectly with my smoked lenses. The halogen bulbs with my smoked lenses made visibility almost impossible at night. These bulbs have changed that! JUST REMEMBER WHEN INSTALLING TO PUT THE BIGGEST WHITE PLASTIC TAB, not one of the two small ones, INTO THE TOP MOST HOLE IN YOUR HEADLIGHT HOUSING WHEN INSTALLING. The low beam led is supposed to be facing up and the high beam led facing down inside the headlight housing. I also didn't have to cut off the 2 side tabs that the instructions say to for my '05 GT These bulbs shine crisp bright white and not that boring yellow glow that halogens have. I'm very impressed with these and will definitely recommend them to anyone who has trouble seeing at night or just loves having more visibility.

      Great lights. Bad wiring harness.

The lights look great, but it took some work to get them going properly. I installed them quickly after cutting the tabs, which was outlined in the online instructions. Everything seemed to work well. Later that night, I tried them out to find one not working and the other flashing. The next day, I had to look at it. I found that the wiring harness had loose wires going into the connector. I pushed them in, and the lights worked perfectly. I ended up using electrical tape to keep them in place. I am disappointed that I needed to do this with a new product. The fog lights have a better made wiring harness, which should have come with the headlights. I just hope that the wires hold up over time. I wanted to request new wiring harnesses that are better made. I'm just glad they work now. Even with the frustration of quality for the harness, the lights are great. I would recommend them, but not as highly as I would had the harness been better. If you can't tell, I'm a little bitter about having to go through all the troubleshooting because of the quality of the pieces in a $99 light kit. Raxiom could do better.

These are not plug and play.

I agree with what Eric said in Would not recommend for his 2012 . I purchased the headlight conversion and the fig light conversion kit. They do give a nice color for 6k output. But i also had to cut the little white tabs off the plastic which what is used to turn the led assembly into the headlight assembly, not a big deal but not "plug and play" as advertised. Also one of the adapters that connects the factory bulb connectotr to the led conversion chipnl had a terminal that was not secured in the connector. Poor qualtiy control that the average person might not catch there for putting the kit in and realizing they don't work. Lastly the light output. The high beam function is EXACTLY the same as the the low beam function. They came in a fancy box if that matters...

      WOW! Best headlights ever

I was kind of skeptical at first before buying, but I am VERY glad I did. They are very beautiful with a tint of blue depending on the time of day and are bright white any other time. Pictures do NOT do these bulbs justice as the difference between stock yellow and these are night and day like tune vs no tune. GET THESE BULBS asap!!

      Time will tell

Received lights, nice box. Easy to install, need to include double back tape to mount ballast instead of drilling holes. Down side, lock in tabs very cheep, also when trying to remove, light bulb comes out leaving lock still in light housing, add a little dielectric grease to o-ring might help. Direction of LED does not line up equal on both sides leaving more light on passenger side then drivers side in low beam and when shifting to hi beam noticeable difference on drivers side and not passenger side. Will see how well they work at night when weather better, I do not dive my mustang in the rain!!

      A lot brighter.

I usually drive with both my headlight and fog lights when I had the older halogens. I could never really see too well until I got these! The conversion is definitely worth it, although the brights aren't as bright as running with the fog lights on in my opinion. I had purchased both LED kits to replace for the front end. The install only took a few hours even drinking and wasting a little time. I used a video from AM about replacing headlight housings to take the bumper off. It was really simple and Im not very mechanically inclined! Haha
