Review & Install Video

What's going on, guys? Adam here with AmericanMuscle.com, and today I'm bringing you a quick overview of the RedRock 4x4 2 inch fender flare kit in matte black fitting all '09 to '14 F150s. If you're a '09 to '14 F150 owner of any size and you're looking to expand to a wider tire size then you'll want to get some extra coverage to fit the new sizes. With that said, these 2 inch fender flares from RedRock 4x4 offer that additional coverage with a very simple bolt on installation. When you're expanding to a wider tire size, you want to get these for extra protection against mud and also to keep it street legal when you're hopping back on the road. The fender flares I have here today from RedRock 4x4 are made of a molded thermoplastic to ensure that they hold up against the elements, great for off roading, and they were finished in a matte black to give it an OE style appearance. They were then UV treated to give it long lasting performance in the sun so that you can ensure that they won't fade, which is great for on and off roading. As far as the increase in clearance goes, this particular set gives you 2 inches of additional coverage, which is very helpful to know when you're out there shopping for a wider tire size. Or, maybe you've already got a wider tire size and this 2 inches fits perfectly with what you're trying to do with your setup. I know I've been talking about the guys who are going with a wider tire size and doing a lot of off roading, but if none of that interests you and you still want that extreme off roader styling, these fender flares mounted to your fender will give that aggressive styling of that rugged off roader life. You'll notice there are a lot of options on the market for the '09 to '14 generation of F150s when it comes to fender flares. When you're picking out your choice, it definitely will come down to how much tire size clearance you need, what you want the fender flares to look like, and how much you want to spend on them. Some of the other options on the market can offer as little as a half inch of additional clearance which is a slight difference to give it a street performance look, whereas other ones offer up to about 2 and a half inches for the beefier tires. This one in particular falls in somewhat in the middle at the 2 inch mark. Price wise, for the OE style and quality of this particular set you can expect to spend about $400, whereas compared to a lot of the other options that offer the same amount of clearance at about $550 this is not a bad deal. As I mentioned before, this is a bolt on and no drill installation, making it a very simple install for anybody to do in their driveway in a few hours with some simple hand tools. Like I said, a few hours for the installation start to finish. I definitely give it a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. Simple enough for anybody with some time on their hands. Just to quickly wrap things up, guys, if you're looking to upgrade to a wider tire on your '09 to '14 F150 of any size and you need that extra tire clearance and you want to keep it street legal, the RedRock 4x4 2 inch fender flares in matte black are available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Nice appearance, had to modify install.

The fenders were a little more flimsy than expected. Appearance on truck is very nice. The install directions were easy but the plastic bolts they give to use are junk. I purchases metal screws and bolts/nuts to make it more solid.

    LOOK GOOD BUT FEW ISSUES

They do look good on the truck. Problem was the rubber seal you install around the flare has the tape built in to hold on... and well it doesn't work. I ended up using glue to get it to actually stay on for installation. then the push rivets that hold it on started falling out the 2nd day. ended up buying other ones that worked better.
