More Horsepower and Torque. Roush has found that the turbocharged 2.3L engine of the 2015-2017 EcoBoost Mustang takes very well to performance modifications and it's exactly for this reason why they developed the Level 2 Performance Pac. Roush has combined their proprietary Flash Pack custom tune, high flow Cold Air Intake and free flowing Axle-Back Exhaust together into one convenient Performance Pac to dramatically improve the output of your turbocharged 2.3L engine. After installing the Level 2 Performance Pac on your EcoBoost Mustang you will see an exceptional increase of over 60 Horsepower and 51 ft/lbs of Torque at the rear wheels.

Roush Calibration. Roush engineers developed their dedicated premium fuel calibrations under laboratory conditions to increase the horsepower and torque of your EcoBoost Mustang across the entire RPM range with their Cold Air Intake and Exhaust installed. The improved boost and throttle mapping of the included Roush tune will also give your turbocharged Mustang a much sportier feel. Roush's calibrations have been optimized for 91 octane fuel, they are compatible with lower octane ratings with reduced power and performance output.

J2534 Interface Tool Required. Just about any dealer can perform this calibration upgrade in under an hour without even breaking a sweat. The Roush Flash Pack Calibration is flashed on to your Mustang's ECU using Roush's RDT software and an industry standard J2534 interface tool. Please note that a dealer service charge may apply.

Cold Air Intake. Roush's EcoBoost Cold Air Intake was engineered using CAD data to eliminate restrictions and to optimize air flow. Injection molded from premium automotive-grade materials, this Cold Air Intake will last a lifetime. The included high-flow dry air filter provides excellent filtration of harmful power robbing particulates. The filter is composed of two layers of wire mesh for durability and is proven to retain its shape even under high airflow. Washable, this dry air filter does not require oiling, saving you time and money.

Straight Forward Installation. The Roush Performance Cold Air Intake Kit is designed to install easily with just basic hand tools. No extra modifications or special tools are required for proper installation. All necessary parts and instructions are included.

Axle-Back Exhaust. Boost the sound of your turbocharged 2.3L engine with a Roush Axle-Back Exhaust. This innovative Roush exhaust system features a pair of hollow chambered mufflers that results in increased air flow and a unique sound, with no in-cabin "boom" normally found with performance exhaust at cruising speeds. Constructed from mandrel bent 304 stainless steel piping for strength and enduring corrosion resistance, this Axle-Back features two stainless steel 4" tips. The 4" tips are finished with a new chrome flashing process that is resistant to discoloration due to exhaust heat.

Cut & Clamp Installation. Installation of the included Roush Axle-Back Exhaust requires cutting and removing the factory muffler assemblies and clamping the new muffler assemblies in their place. Clamps, hardware and installation instructions are provided.

Optional Warranty. An optional 3 Year/36,000 Mile Limited Powertrain Warranty is available through Roush. The optional warranty must be purchased within 30 days of the service installation date. Click here to see more details.

Application. This Roush Level 2 Performance Pack is specifically designed for use on manual and automatic 2015-2017 EcoBoost Mustangs equipped with the turbocharged 2.3L Inline 4-cylinder engine.

        5 Top Rated Questions

I'm wondering if I install the roush power pack-level 2 will I have to burn 91 octane all the time or can I easily switch it to 87 octane for long road trips? The 91 would add a huge expense on a long trip and I can currently hit 30 mpg the way it is. And if it can be switched back and forth do I have to take it to the installer to make the switch? Thank You

        • From my understanding, 91 octane will be required after the calibration.

I saw the same product on the Roush website, their's has something called a dongle. What difference does this make? Also the one without a dongle, the one here, has the description stating lower HP increases. Why?

        • This Roush Power Pac does not come with a dongle, which just allows you to flash the PCM from home and avoiding a trip to the dealership for the PCM flash. The kits with the dongle and the kits without the dongle will yield the same results (60hp/51tq) because it is only a medium for the tune file and the PCM.

Is this performance pac compatible with the 2018 Mustang Ecoboost as well?

        • No, this is not compatible with 2018 EcoBoost models.

Noob question. Ford dealer did throttlebody and fuel injector cleaning on my ecoboost mustang. I have the Roush performance pack 2 upgrade installed 2 yrs ago. When they reset the ECU would that erase Roush tune? They would not have re-flashed the ECU would they? Engine seems slightly sluggish, and I have no way to verify what tune is on there?

        • We would recommend checking with the dealership that did the cleaning as they would have the records of what was done.

Roush PP Level 2... I feel the power !

I installed the Rouch exhaust and cold air intake at a friends shop. Took me about 1.5 hours. Not very difficult and all went smoothly. need 2 guys to get the exhaust lined up. Could feel the added acceleration. Exhaust and intake sounds good when you get on it , without cabin noise cruising or expressway unless over 80 mph, then very little. Took the tuner card to Rod Baker Ford and they installed it in about an hour for $140.00. Noticed more power gain. Wish I had timed it in quarter before and after. I was always a V-8 guy however this 4 banger is really impressive and I saved $5K over a GT on my Mustang handles and looks great with the performance package !

Performance Level 2 Ecoboost 2016 Mustang

I had the dealer install this for me. The exhaust and intake look great. Have to get used to the exhaust sound. I can tell there is a performance gain, but the tune I was a little disappointed in. The stock 'stang was fun to drive, but the recent tune changed things for me. It's not as zippy. Unfortunately Ford told me that Roush had only one "strategy" for my car, and there was no other tune available. If I go outside of Roush tune, I will void my warranty. I wish the 60 hp boost kicked in sooner so I could feel the power closer to off idle. I was told I had a performance gain of about 60 or 70 hp, but no one was able to give me evidence of it. I did not get a tune sheet to see my base and after. I have to take speculation as fact.

5 2015 EcoBoost - MichaelH Installation Time: Afternoon

            Awesome upgrade

I installed the the air intake and exhaust myself in my driveway. Took about a hour in total but I could have done it quicker if I was more experienced. When I called a Ford dealer about the cost of installation beforehand, they told me it would take them around three hours, lol. The effect of the mods was immediate. I love the sound when you press the gas and a massive amount of air rushes in, and the sound of the exhaust is crazy. I drove the car without the tune for about two weeks. It felt like a new car, more responsive and the wonderful sounds. I did use the local Ford dealer to load the tune. They charged me a flat rate for the install, around $60. Didn’t think that was too bad. I didn’t see a huge change in performance after the tune though, maybe I expected more. I think it just optimized the other mods and it was already a major change from stock. I did a road trip from DC to central TN a few weeks later and I averaged better then 38mpg (best before was around 34). That’s just crazy. Of course it’s very difficult to stay off the gas when you are driving around town because of the sounds of the exhaust. I did a 0-60 test and it was 5.3. Should have tested it before to see the difference. Oh well. All in all, I’m very happy with my purchase. The exhaust sounds crazy with the sounds of the turbo and blowoff...

Roush Power Pac - Level 2

I ordered the kit because, while I like the Ecoboost, I never warmed up to the sound. I had my local dealer install it. It took them about three hours to install, and they charged me $480. On initial start-up, it sounds 100 better, but when I drove home... you could really feel the 60 extra ponies. Not to mention I clocked 30.5 mpg cruising down the interstate doing over 80...

If you're looking at this, I'd most definitely recommend the stage 1, you don't get much more out of this, and it's almost double the price.
