Simple installation for anyone.
This is the Roush 7 Bar Upper Black Billet Grille and it fits the 2010 to 2012 GT. This grille eliminates the running pony and the GT fog lights. It's made from aluminum, so it's gonna be something that you're gonna wanna check out if you want a replacement grille that'll delete those fog lights, isn't made from plastic, requires no cutting to install, and you don't mind paying a little bit more for that Roush quality. The instructions do have you pulling the front fascia for the install, but it's still gonna be a simple install. It's a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter and it'll take you about an hour to get done. This is a complete upper replacement grille, so it isn't an overlay. It's gonna completely replace your stock or your current grille. Styling wise, it's gonna delete those fog lights which is totally gonna give the GT a different look. This is a 7 bar billet grille, so you have those seven horizontal bars here and that's gonna open up some air flow if you compare it to your stock grille. This is made from billet aluminum, so it does have some weight to it. It's not a plastic piece which I knew that some of you will like. And being that this is made from billet aluminum means it'll have some corrosion resistance, but it's gonna be a positive to you guys out there that have daily drivers or cars that see a lot of road time. So this doesn't come with anything to place in the grille. But, as a side note, you guys can always add a running pony tri-bar emblem to the grille if you wanted to. Now, it is sold separately, so make sure you add it to your order through the drop down menu on the product page. This grille is made for the 2010 to '12 GT with the stock grille surround or bezel. It reuses that stock surround or replaces the grille itself. That being said, this will fit the 2010 to '12 V6 for the factory GT front fascia or a Roush front fascia. It will not fit the Boss 302 GT California style or Shelby GT 500 models. And this is the upper grille only. The matching Roush lower grille is sold separately. As far as price goes, you can expect to pay close to the $230 mark for this grille. That is a little bit more expensive than some of your other options out there, but you should keep in mind the fact that this isn't made from plastic. It's billet aluminum and it's not priced that much higher than your other fog light delete options. You're also paying for the Roush quality here. When it comes to the install, you can expect to spend an hour getting this on the car. It's gonna be one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter. You don't have to do any cutting to get this on the car and the instructions do tell you to pull the front fascia, but there are other ways to replace the grille without pulling the front fascia. I would recommend just following the instructions though and pulling the front fascia because it isn't difficult to do and you avoid taking the chances scratching your bumper up. Because of that, we'll show you the install as the instruction say. The first thing you'll do is pull that front fascia. The black plastic panel covering the radiator needs to come up. And you'll need to remove the lower splash shield. There are screws under the bumper in the wheel wells and at the front fascia. Disconnect the side marker lamp connectors. Remove the ambient air temp center from the lower front fascia and then you'll move on to unbolting the fascia itself. There are screws that attach the fascia to the headlight assemblies. Once those are removed, you can lift the fascia up and pull the upper grille forward to disconnect the fog lamp connections. Remove the remaining screws near the wheel wells and the fascia will be ready for you to lift it off and set it aside. Remove the factory grille surround assembly from the fascia by releasing the tabs. The grille will then slide out. Reinstall the front fascia on to the car and move on to the install of the Roush grille. Remove the fog lamp assemblies and remove the grille surround. Pull the grille from the surround by releasing the retainer tabs. Install the clip nuts to the brackets and install the brackets to the new grille. Insert the bracket ends into the slots on the grille surround and loosely install the pinch brackets to the L-brackets. You'll use the electrical tape or wire ties to secure the fog light wires and the connectors. You'll wind the tabs to the grille assembly and the slots on the fascia and install the grille. Just make sure your brackets are hooked and all of the tabs are clipped in properly. Lastly, you'll reinstall your rad cover. That's gonna be it for the Roush 7 Bar Upper Black Billet Grille for the 2010 to '12 GT, but you can check it out more online right here at americanmuscle.com.
