Review & Install Video
Hey, guys. Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, here with my quick review of the SnapRest Armrest Cover, available in a few different colors fitting your 2009 to 2014 F-150. You should be checking this thing out if you're looking for an easy and relatively affordable way to add some extra comfort while driving. Now a lot of owners including myself oftentimes struggle to find the optimum driving position, whether you're on long trips or just pounding the pavement to and from work. Now in my experience, I'm a relatively tall dude at 6'1" and in my Lariat I feel that the factory armrest is a little too low for me to comfortably rest my arm on that. I oftentimes actually end up resting it on the door or windowsill which really isn't the most comfortable thing in the world either.
Now the SnapRest has been the solution for me personally and it just might be the ticket for you guys at home. What this thing does is give you an additional two and a half inches of height over your factory armrest while maintaining the width of three and three-quarter inches. This is just going to give you a ton of surface area to rest your arm while driving, and it's not going to look terribly out of place while doing so. Now granted you are going to know it's there, but SnapRest does all they can to help ensure that this thing blends in a little bit better with your interior. This includes five different color options including adobe, camel, black with a silver stitching which is what we have here, a plain black option, and finally, a charcoal option, or "stone," as they call it. Now they do a great job of assembling these things as well, guys. You're looking at some really nice materials. Italian leather wrapped with a high-density foam filler, and it's all kind of mounted onto this ABS plastic base here.
One of the best things about the SnapRest is the very simplistic idea in the overall execution, which in my opinion, guys, is a total homerun here. Again, I know some of you might think the $80 price tag is a little on the steep side, but you have to factor in these are vehicle specific. They're designed to fit perfectly into your F-150, and of course you have to factor in those premium materials such as the Italian leather, for instance. This is not going to be some generic auto parts store, one-size-fits-most thing. Again, it fits perfectly and the final product shows that. And after all, guys, it's very hard to put a price tag on comfort.
One of the best things about this product is the ease of install here, guys. In fact, this is called the SnapRest after all, and that perfectly describes how this thing will be inserted or installed into your truck. This portion here is going to basically just snap right into your factory armrest. Zero out of three wrenches on my difficulty meter. You can do this one blindfolded. By far and away, the easiest install you'll ever do to your truck, I promise.
In my opinion, SnapRest recognized a common problem with the F150 and came up with a simple, rather attractive fix that's going to be really easy to install, and best of all, it's going to improve the time spent on the road in your F-150. So be sure to check out the rest of the SnapRest options for your rig right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
