More Horsepower And Torque. Improve the performance of your modular V8 Mustang with a set of SR Performance 1-3/4-inch Long Tube Headers. These SR Performance Black Headers will greatly improve your 4.6L Mustang's exhaust flow over the restrictive factory manifolds for an increase in both horsepower and torque. 1-3/4-inch Long Tube Headers are a great choice for use on naturally aspirated Mustangs.

Make Some Noise. SR Performance Long Tube Headers will not only improve the performance of your 4.6L V8 powered Mustang, but they will also improve its sound. With their high-flow design, these Long Tube Headers are less restrictive than factory allowing you to pick up a few decibels in your exhaust note for a more aggressive sound.

Quality Construction. These SR Performance Long Tube Headers are constructed from free flowing CNC mandrel-bent 1-3/4-inch primary tubes that merge into a 3-inch collector. The collector features a power spike design for excellent exhaust flow. SR Performance Long Tube Headers are then completed in a black finish for aggressive good looks.

Calibration Required. Installation of these SR Performance Long Tube Headers will require the use of a Handheld Tuner to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) for operation. By reprogramming your Mustangs ECU you will be able to realize the full power potential that these headers have to offer.

No CARB Certification. These Headers are not CARB certified, therefore they are not legal for use in California or any other state adopting California emission standards. Not legal for use on pollution controlled motor vehicles; intended for off road use only.

Application. These SR Performance Long Tube Catted Headers are specifically designed to fit the 2005-2010 GT Mustangs equipped with the modular 4.6L V8 engine. These Long Tube headers will require the use of a SR Performance shorty style H-Pipe or X-Pipe for proper installation - sold separately.

How many O2 sensor extensions would i need to run these headers??

        • We would recommend purchasing the SR Performance O2 Sensor Extension Kit along with the headers to ensure proper fitment. You can find that kit here:

Are these headers ceramic coated. Or infused with anything that reduces heat temps.

        • These would not have a ceramic coat or anything on them to reduce heat temps. This would just be stainless steel with a black finish to them.

About how much how will I get with these headers?

        • The power generated by the SR Performance Long Tube Headers can depend on a few factors such as additional modifications, tunes, and fuel type. Feel free to contact our customer service team or your tuner to get an estimate on the power this will add to your Mustang.

            DO NOT PURCHASE!!

These headers had to be the worst investment I made into my mustang. I brought it to my mechanic to install. Like all headers, there are adjustments to be made, need to move things around in order to get it all into place. But besides moving things around in order to get into place, there were cuts that needed to be made for the new set of H-Pipes that went along with these headers, heavy duty clamps because nothing lined up. But the topping on this cake is an unfixable problem of the steering column hitting my headers, every single time I turn in any directions which could cause me to either lose my steering while I’m driving and or make a hole in my headers. Don’t know what other headers fit like, but this is a hard pass. Don’t waste your money, I wasted mine and don’t know what to do. Plus the welding sucked, with heat and time holes will develop in the welds.

            Economy Headers

The short of it is they fit well, does what they're supposed to do. Would definitely recommend. Welds are not the prettiest but my car is a daily driver, not a show car. They fit with no bending and no cutting. It took me working by myself with 4 jacks stands, a jack and hand tools 9 hours to install. Headers on a Mustang is not for the faint of heart, the S197 chassis is by far easier to get long tubes in than the SN95, but both motor mounts, starter, AC compressor and steering shaft still have to come out for an easier installation. Be prepared to shim the motor as well as the tubes on the driver side do not clear the steering shaft. Mine is shimmed 1/2" on either side to keep the motor level. My car has an extensive mod list including cnc heads, full FRPP Valve Train and camshafts. These headers definitely helped free up hp that my previous BBK tuned length headers did not.

You get what you pay for.

SR performance long tubes arrived and was not overly impressed. Welds were scabby. One flange weld was gapped about 1/8th of an inch right off of the head. This is why theyre 300 bucks. I cheaped out and i paid for it with when it came time to install. Would highly reccomend spending the extra couple hundred for BBK's or Pypes. Poor quality.

            Great Sound

The headers definitely gave my mustang a better sound and low end torque. Also gave a couple horsepower gains too! Def recommend this product.
