Hey, everyone. I'm Justin with AmericanMuscle.com. And I'm gonna be taking a closer look at a very affordable coil-over kit from SR Performance fitting your '79 to '04 solid rear axle Mustang. These coil-overs from SR will be an alternative to those other big brand name products on the market but won't come with that big brand name price tag. Now, whether it's suspension components like these coil-overs here or other modifications, SR Performance will perform without breaking the bank. I'm sure a lot of you guys watching this video are already familiar with what a set of aftermarket coil-overs can do, but if not, here's what you need to know.A set of coil-overs like the SR option here basically combines two vital parts of your Mustang's suspension, the springs and dampers, into one easy to install, relatively affordable package that most importantly gives you the ability to address your rod height whenever you want. Now, this is something that isn't exactly possible with a traditional set of springs, shocks, and struts. Besides that height adjustability, these coil-overs from SR Performance will no doubt improve your ride quality and handling performance by replacing the old and more than likely worn out stuff in your Fox body or SM.95.The coil-over kit itself includes both the coil-overs for the front setup here, already preassembled, spring and strut, basically meaning you won't have to mess with any spring compressors. Just bolt on and go. In addition to the fronts, of course you will receive the rear, which is a brand new shock setup along with the springs and adjustable perch here. Now, this setup will not include brand new caster camber plates, but it is something we highly recommend here at AmericanMuscle.com to really dial in that optimal alignment settings, especially if you plan on going low, which these coil-overs will certainly allow. So if you are interested in checking those out, you can always do so on the product page or by clicking on the link below. Speaking of low, these coil-overs from SR Performance will allow you drop your Fox body or SM.95 up to three inches, which judging by some of the customer submitted images here on the site, is essentially enough to allow you to slam the car to the ground. So be sure to check out some of those images if you get the chance. The process of lowering your ride with these coil-overs is pretty simple. You're gonna use these two spanner wrenches included with the kit to adjust the collars on either the rear or front setups. Basically, take your time and make sure to measure so you get everything nice and equal.Getting to that install one more time, again, since you do not need a spring compressor with these coil-overs here, the install is very straightforward, and I even recommend my novice mechanics out there to give this one a shot. Now it should take you roughly four hours or so from start to finish, so if it does take you a little longer, don't get discouraged. But either way, if you would like to talk to a Mustang expert a little bit more about the coil-overs themselves or about the actual install, feel free to reach out anytime. So if you're looking to replace the 10 to 20 plus year old suspension in your Fox body or SM.95 and you'd like to have the ability to adjust the ride height to your own personal preference, then you won't be disappointed when checking out the very affordable options from SR Performance which you can find right here at AmericanMuscle.com.
