1. Disconnect Battery.
2. Raise and level the vehicle, if possible.
3. Remove (2) 15mm bolts connecting the exhaust to the (2) bolt flange.
4. Remove old exhaust system from rubber hangers. Save rubber hangers for re-use.
Remove the exhaust from the truck.
5. Install donut gasket to Y-Pipe and install, using (2) 3/8” x 2-1/2” long supplied
bolts and hardware. (only required for catback installation to manifolds – not
headers).
6. Install lead pipes with 2.5” Accuseal clamps and hangers with 2.5” dia. saddle
clamps (only required for catback installation to manifolds – not headers)
7. Install (2) Accuseal clamps and mufflers.
8. Install (2) Accuseal clamps and the (2) tail hangers with saddle clamps onto the
tailpipes
For System with Two Tails on Right Side
9. Install second hanger using two Accuseal clamps to rear of tailpipes and rotate
into position.
10. Install (2) Accuseal clamps and tips rotating into position.
11. Tighten all clamps after adjusting for proper fit.
For System with Two Tails under Bumper
12. Loosen rear spring to shackle bolts and install hangers, then retighten.
13. Install rear tail clamp hangers with grommet and bolt to the upper hanger.
14. Install (2) Accuseal clamps and tips rotating into position.
For Both Systems
15. Lower vehicle.
16. Reconnect battery.
17. Be sure to have adequate clearance around all wires, hoses and lines. If anything
is in contact with the exhaust system, it will melt. Make sure to have at least
½” of clearance and wrap any suspect areas with DEI thermal barrier wrap.
18. After double checking for clearance and making sure all lines, wires and hoses are
secured, drive the car for 10-20 miles and re-check all clamps and clearances.
