Thanks for purchasing A Stainless Works Downpipe for your 2011 F-150 Ecoboost.
We have gone to great pains to make sure that our exhaust systems fit and sound great. Please follow these steps to ensure that your installation goes as planned.

1. Stainless Works recommends the use of Hi-Temp RTV sensor safe silicon gasket
maker as an option to or in conjunction with the use of factory gaskets. The
recommended Oxygen Sensor Safe RTV is either Valco All-in-One Aluminum or
Permatex Copper P/N 101BR available at NAPA, Autozone and other retailers.

2. Disconnect the battery before starting work on the exhaust system for your
vehicle. Reconnect the battery when the job is completed.

3. Your exhaust system can be installed by a weekend warrior but the use of a lift is
recommended for ease of installation. If using a jack, the vehicle must be placed
on a level hard surface and jack stands are required for safety reasons.

4. You will assemble the components together as specified below, but only snug the
clamps as you move along from front to back. After aligning all the components
in the vehicle, you will tighten all the clamps working from front to back of the
vehicle.

5. Disconnect battery.

6. Raise and support vehicle.

7. Unbolt (2) 10 mm bolts at each 2-bolt flange after catalytic converters.

8. Remove skid plate left side of cross member (4) 8 mm bolts.

9. The following instructions are required only if you are planning to save the
factory pipes, otherwise skip to number 18.

10. Remove (2) 6 mm bolts holding left and right heat shields to cross member.

11. Support transmission and transfer case with jackstand(s).

12. Remove (2) 12 mm nuts from transmission mount.

13. Remove (4) 12 mm bolts and nuts from cross member and remove cross member.

14. Remove 10 mm nut and 8 mm nut from front drive shaft shield.

15. Remove all (12) 10 mm bolts from front drive shaft and remove drive shaft.

16. Remove (4) 12 mm bolts from transmission mount and the 10 mm bolt from
hanger.

17. Unplug O2 sensors.

18. Remove (2) 10 mm nuts from left and (2) 10 mm from right head pipes and
remove, then slide transmission mount off.

19. Re-install transmission mount and cross member and tighten bolts.

20. Install left and right down pipes and left hanger.

21. Install Y-pipe with (2) 3” clamps.

22. Reconnect downpipe to OEM catback at 2-bolt flange using the factory bolts.
(When connecting to a Stainless Works catback, you will be supplied with a donut
gasket and bolts/ nuts.)

23. Reinstall O2 sensors and supplied O2 extension P/N 109214R on left rear O2.

24. Reinstall drive shaft and shield.

25. Reinstall (2) 6 mm bolts in left and right heat shields to cross member.

26. Adjust exhaust for fitment and tighten clamps.

27. Be sure to have adequate clearance around all wires, hoses and lines. If anything
is in contact with the exhaust system, it will melt. Make sure to have at least
½” of clearance and wrap any suspect areas with DEI thermal barrier wrap.

28. After double checking for clearance and making sure all lines, wires and hoses are
secured, drive the car for 10-20 miles and re-check all clamps and clearances.
Your system may be tack welded at the joints/ clamps to reduce shifting of the
system during heating and cooling cycles. Make certain to disconnect the battery
before performing any welding.
