Improves Handling. Eliminate bumpsteer by correcting your Mustang's front end suspension geometry with Steeda's fully adjustable kit. Replace your stock, non-adjustable components and gain better, more predictable cornering and handling even at the limit.

Adjustable. Steeda's fully adjustable kit provides a wider range of adjustment than other kits to allow you to fine-tune your suspension for improved steering response and crisp cornering.

Ideal for Lowered 'Stangs. The Steeda Bumpsteer kit is the perfect complement to their X2 or X5 balljoints or any caster/camber plates for perfect handling.

No Drill Installation. Unlike other kits which require you to drill your spindle out during installation, Steeda's Bumpsteer kit features spherical rod-ends with tapered shafts for an easy installation with no drilling.

Application. This Steeda Bumpsteer kit is designed for all 2005-2014 Mustangs.

Note: Coupon codes cannot be applied to this product.

NOTE: Bumpsteer is a change in toe angle caused by the suspension moving up or down. Bump-steer is built into the geometry of the suspension and steering system, and has nothing to do with turning the steering wheel. The effect of bumpsteer is for the wheel to toe-in or toe-out when the suspension moves up or down. This toe change or "steering" occurs any time the suspension moves, whether it is from body roll, brake-dive, or hitting a bump in the road. Bump steer is undesirable because the suspension is steering the car instead of the driver. To fix a bumpsteer problem, you need to alter the height of the outer tie-rod relative to the steering rack with adjustable tie-rod ends, also known as a bumpsteer kit.

Will these work with 16 inch wheels ? Just recieved these, eyeballing next to stock tie rod end doesn't look they will clear 16 inch wheel. Will they or won't they ? If they won't it isn't mentioned in fitment guide. I don't wish to change my wheels, what are other options to fix bumpsteer ? I have Eibach Pro springs.

    • Smallest rim size I've installed them with was a 17" for the 05-13 Mustang, and there was still plenty of clearance. I see no reason why they wouldn't work.

So I'm new too this and just wanted to verify if these replace the outer tie rods? Killed my suspension and looking to replace so I just wanted to verify this first.

    • You are correct, the Steeda Bumpsteer Kit will replace your outer tie rods with an adjustable bump steer kit.

      No More Click Clack

Needed new ball joints, so with this kit I got some steering upgrade. When you turn the wheel the car responds immediately, quick cornering too! So far so good, I mean great.

There is a very distinguishable difference in the steering now . No more wandering off the road. This is a great product every Mustang owner should have.

      Vast improvement over stock

The front suspension on my 2008 GT was pretty much completely worn out at about 70,000 miles. I can't determine how much of an improvement that these control arms alone will net you, but when combined with Koni STR.T struts, the Shelby GT500 strut mounts, an SR Performance strut tower brace, and the Shelby GT500 control arms, my Mustang finally handles like a sports car should. No more clunk in the front end, no bumpsteer, more responsive steering, greatly reduced body roll, the front end doesn't feel like it's floating at high speed anymore, and large bumps don't rattle the teeth out of your head anymore. Just as easy to install as OEM control arms, just a couple more nuts that have to be tightened down. If you car hasn't been lowered, put all spacers below the rod end.

      Excellent!

Installed today at a local tire shop, with Steeda X11 ball joints, and the required alignment afterward and the difference was immediately noticeable. No play in the wheel, the car doesn't wander around the road on its own any more. It just stays put. Here in Saskatchewan, they say that in some parts of the world, people may drive on the left of the road, but here they drive on what's left of the road. With the ever present potholes, gravel patches, and warps and unevenness of the roads here, I feel these are as important to have on the car as tires. Unless you like keeping your speed under 15!

      Steeda Bumpsteer

I had worn out tie rod ends and my car is lowered using Steeda Sport Springs. This Bumpsteer kit is the perfect compliment to lowered cars. Handling is improved overall. Generally an easy install with hand tools. Follow the customer guide for general overview of the install and the Steeda guide for more specifics on alignment. Steeda makes great stuff BTW and this is high quality, but you pay for it.

      IMPROVED RIDE HANDLING

I'm very impressed, these improved the ride quality and the handling of my lowered (1.5inch) 2006 mustang GT. Install was pretty easy too but definitely take it to an alignment shop right after install is complete so they can dial it in. I would definitely recommend these! I also installed the ford racing lower control arm, because my ball joints were shot too.

      Worth every penny...

I picked up a used 2007 Roush Stage 3 Mustang a couple of years ago and after a year of driving it, I was not happy with how the car would "skip" while under power around bumpy corners. I bought these to install but wasn't sure what to expect. The installation was delayed by a deployment to Afghanistan but during my time there all the reviews here on AM encouraged me to get this done as soon as possible. It only took a couple of hours to install, mostly due to the time it takes to remove the old stock outer tie rod. After the install, even on the way to the alignment shop, I knew this upgrade was worth every penny. Now I can power around any corner with complete confidence. Thanks Steeda and thanks AM!

      Easy Install

These are needed on a lowered Stang to maintain toe adjustment. I went with these because they are the ones required in the Spec Mustang class. The alignment shop was able to easily get toe in spec so I guess they work. Like advertised if you are going to change terminals anyway, why not go with these? I wish the instructions did a better job of explaining how to use the spacers.

      Steeda bumpsteer kit

Easy install. Took me about an hour in my garage. Took a few attempts to get shims correct as I am lowered about 1.5 inches. Installed struts at the same time. Had the car aligned after install. Results show less under steer and a lighter feel to the car. Great product from Steeda.

A must if your stang is lowered

I run a Tokico D spec with Steeda Comp springs. The bump steer kit is a MUST to bring the steering alignment parallel to control arm. Strongly recommend if you track your car. I noticed that the front end twitched unnecessarily while going over kerbs on a track. This bump steer kit helps you fix it.

GET YOUR LOWERED STEERING DONE RIGHT!

SO AS I EXPERINCED WITH MY 2004 AFTER LOWERING IT. I HAD HORRIBLE BUMP STEER WITH FACTORY TIE RODS. CHANGED EM OUT AND IT WAS VIRTUALLY GONE! ALSO MADE THE STEERING MORE SMOOTH AND RESPONSIVE. SO WHEN I BOUGHT THE 2012 GT AND LOWERED IT, I BOUGHT THESE WITH THE KIT TO GO AHEAD AND DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. 2 FUN NOTES ALSO, 1. YOU DONT HAVE TO HAMMER AN THE SPINDLE TO RELEASE THESE WHEN YOU WORKING ON THE AREA, JUST RELEASE THE BOTTOM NUT AND DROP THE HEIM JOINT. AND 2. MAKES ADJUSTING TOE AS EASY AND TWISTING WITH YOUR HAND. JUST BREAK THE 2 LOCK NUTS AND TWIST TILL YOU GOT IT RIGHT, THEN LOCK IT BACK. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ANY LOWERED CAR!
