Dial-in Traction. Whether you're setting up your suspension for the strip, the street, or a road course, Steeda's Adjustable Street Upper Control Arm will eliminate wheel hop and ensure you're putting power down to the ground. Unlike "one size fits all" arms, this adjustable upper control arm will allow you to adjust your driveshaft-to-differential pinion angle and optimize your suspension geometry for maximum traction and smoking fast launches.

On-Car Double Adjustable. It's easy to dial in your settings with this arm. Since it's adjustable on both sides, you can make changes right on the car, without having to remove the arm to get things set up right. That makes changes quick, easy, and straightforward - just like it should be.

Better Handling. With Steeda's exclusive, race-proven 3 piece bushing kit on the axle end, this upper control arm reduces axle wind up and wheel hop and allows proper articulation without deflection - resulting in improved handling, better cornering, and greater overall stability.

Race-Tested Performance. With a race version widely used on NHRA and IHRA winners, this street & strip arm feature a softer outer bushing to prevent binding and increase grip on uneven surfaces.

Application. The Steeda adjustable street upper control arm is designed for 2005 to 2010 Mustangs including the V6, GT, Bullitt, and Shelby GT500 models.

Would I need 2 of them or just 1

  • You will need two upper control arms if you would like them for both rear applications.

Does this require a non-stock mounting bracket? Most, but not all of the other upper control arms offer a separate mounting bracket. Is the Steeda upper designed to work with the stock bracket? and is there an advantage to using an Upper that is designed to work with its own bracket that repositions the arm?

  • The Steeda Adjustable Street Rear Upper Control Arm (05-10 All) can most certainly be used with stock application, however what would be advantageous about using products meant to be used with each other you know for a fact they will work to their fullest potential.

    Steeda wins again!

Steeda comes through with this adjustable rear upper control arm. For an average daily driver, this item could be considered overkill; however if you have lowered your Mustang and added modifications such as a one piece drive shaft - this is a critical part to install on your Mustang. It helps in keeping the rear end locked in place, and at the right angles to keep it quiet and bind free. The stock piece is not meant for much more power than what the car rolled out of the factory with and can fail leading to problems, has no way to be adjusted, and could deflect under load, making launches unpredictable and be noisy inside the car. So, if you have beat the stock one to death, need to replace it, and want to ensure that it will work with the mods you have already done and the mods you want to do - this is the one you need to get. The build quality and finish is what I have come to expect from Steeda. High quality bushings, heavy duty, precisely machined parts and fittings, and it arrived with clear, precise installation instructions. Bottom line - This rear upper control arm is an excellent item to get for your Mustang, you won't replace it later and wonder why you did not get something better since there is nothing better.

Really nice dig & handling improvement!

I bought the rear upper control arm in February 2012 along with the Steeda rear lower control arms. I wish I had done it a year sooner. Wheel hop is virtually eliminated. There is a noticeable improvement in handling, it just feels tighter. I had my shop install them & they said that the install was easy and a good fit.

    Steeda Upper Control Arm

I installed an aluminum driveshaft in a car with FRPP suspension so I needed to adjust the pinion angle. The Steeda part is the best quality, perfect fit, and totally adjustable.

    Steeda UCA

Just installed this last weekend and it was used to adjust the pinion angle for the new driveshaft. Fairly easy to install, but takes a little work to adjust. I noticed no increase in NVH. And, as usual, this was shipped quick.

    Steeda Adj. Upper Control Arm

Installed along with Lower Control Arm upgrade. Great product. I have no wheel hop at all. The car does not squat as much during hard launches. It feels firm and planted. The install was more involved than instructions indicated. I had to lower the gas tank about 3-5 inches in order to remove the stock control arm. Also, the control arm did not have the grease fitting or black bushing like the one on Steeda's website. Other than that, I'm really happy with this product. Highly recommended !!!

Excellent street UCA; recommend when installing 1-pc driveshaft!

Installed during a driveshaft swap. VERY solid feel. Will transmit slightly more noise than stock, to include hitting bumps/dips in road, but nothing you don't quickly get used to. Launch feels much more firm. Recommend installing upgraded LCAs, as well. Don't forget the small bushings on the outside of the forward UCA mount. You will have to lower the factory mount to get your UCA out/in. Two bolts in TIGHT on lower side, one in on top side under rear seat. Do this on a lift, not jacks, but adjust pinion angle to negative 2-3 degrees (down). Cheap angle finder from hardware store will help, and adjust while vehicle weight is on the axle and vehicle is leveled. Instructions were included as well as lube for the outside of bushing (to prevent squeaking). Enjoy!
