What is the weight of this sway bar vs. stock sway bar?

  • This swaybar weigh 23 pounds whereas the stock swaybar weighs nearly 45 pounds.

Which level of the adjustments is stiffer and which is softer? (Towards the inside of the bar or towards the outside?)

  • Using the rearmost holes, the sway bar will be at its softest position, and the front most hole will provide the most stiffness.

  • To install the Steeda Competition Adjustable Front Swaybar on a Mustang not originally equipped with a sway bar, the front sway bar end links as well to complete installation. All other attachment points will be on your car.

    Bar is beefy and way better than stock. The reason i rated this 4 star is that it didn't come with correct hardware. Only got two and it didn't the sway bar mount. I end up using the original hardware. None the less its a great product.

    2012 Ruby

    Installed on a 2012 mustang gt with 97,000 miles. I also replaced my rear sway bar with mustang boss 302 bar. Install was a breeze on a lift, build quality was far superior to factory. The only problem when installing was the bushing bracket holes did not align with my new steeda radiator support not sure which component was off. I had to bend bracket slightly to get the holes to align. I installed in the middle set of holes and I feel that puts you into a stock feel or very close to it. With both bars installed I could only feel the slightest difference. If you would like a more aggressive feel don't use middle set of holes.

    Excellent "Anti" Sway Bar

    Excellent anti-sway bar. The directions provided are useless however. Thank goodness for the AM customers website posts to show how to do it. Also installed new end-links w/ the bar so it took a little longer. Set at the middle setting and corners very well.

    Nice cornering

    I replaced my factory swaybar due to a noise I kept hearing on the front end. Not only was the small anchor stop broken on the sway bar, my links were loose as well. I Replaced them both and now she corners like she's on rails. I placed the sway bar links on the middle setting of the sway bar.

    Great bar and a great price

    What a great improvement over the factory style bar. The Hardware is way better than the factory as well. Really tightens everything up. Had to take it to the shop to have installed because i don't have a lift. It took about an hour to install it.

    Huge Improvement!

    With this front bar installed you will immediately notice a huge improvement over the stock bar. I wanted to keep my factory springs for a compliant ride but still wanted good cornering ability. Steeda says this bar is approximately 27 stiffer than the factory bar but It sure feels like it's more than that. Is also a lot heavier than the stock bar. Comes complete with everything you need and was a real easy upgrade!

    2008 v6

    Had a little front in noise changed the stock end links and sway bar and my car handles way better than what the factory had . This part is very good for people who don't want to spend that much just to get a better ride. Great replacement part

    Turning tricks

    Let me say first and foremost that I installed this bar on the middle of the three setting holes and have had zero increase in noise, harshness, or vibration. That said, the front end feels noticeably more confident in turns, and going to the most aggressive setting will be how I spend the first hour of this coming Saturday morning. If you're doing either the swaybar or the tubular radiator support, do both at once (it would be a good idea to replace the swaybar endlinks during this install, as well). Both parts are a bargain, have excellent fit and finish, and are completed in matching silver clear coat (not blue like some of the pictures). In my garage with average tools, 1 hour. In a good garage with a lift, the swaybar is a 20 minute project. Enjoy!

    Tremedous handling improvement

    I had the front sway bar installed along with nthe rear sway bar and the lowered spring kit i must say the car ride good and i am truely impressed with the handling and the quick response of turning the sterring whell , i would go as far to say that my mustang handles as good as a go kart love it

    Great Improvement over stock

    This sway bar was easy to install and only took about an hour to complete. Handling around those tight corners has improved greatly and I love that its adjustable.
