Once I pre-fit the X-Brace, I painted it to match my car and installed it. The handling of my mustang is greatly improved. It feels tight though turns and hugs the road much better! The biggest issue for me was that it is a tight fit working behind the front seats. Overall, it was well worth it!!!

didn't expect much from this other than aesthetics, and maybe it's just the placebo affect, but this brace locked up my rear end. Granted I already have suspension work sway bars etc. but this really tied everything together. All around just feels right. And who needs a rear seat anyways! No passengers... Now to get that Carbon fiber rear seat delete.

      Works as advertised

Install is easy after you read the instructions, very straight forward and simple. The lack of body roll is noticeable even through regular driving, can't wait to test it out on the auto cross course. TLDR: Is good 5/7 would buy again.

      Pretty good bolt-on

The X-Brace looks pretty cool in your backseat and does help your handling. Takes less than an hour if you know what bolts are in you mustang. Spent most of my time finding the right bits... but that's a personal problem. 4/5. Overall, Pretty good design!

Love the look. I pared with the rear seat delete kit, not fun to cut and fit in the back of the mustang but more then happy when finished.

      Looks Amazing

Can't really tell too much handling difference but that may be due to having a harness bar inside too. It looks amazing and I'm sure it does help the Rear-Mid section of the car not to flex.

      Chassis Flex Be Gone

This is one of my favorite mods on my '13 GT/CS. It really cut down on the chassis flex and gave my handling a big boost, making the car feel more composed/flat in turns. This is a must-have for autocross guys.

      Pretty cool

The steeda plate is way over priced. But the brace looks great back there. Handling improvement is really minimal (I have the bullitt if that makes a difference). Over all a good product and gets rid of the pointless rear seats.

      Steeda X Brace

This X brace came in no time (thanks so much AM!!!!) All in all it took about 15 minutes to remove the rear seats and install the X brace. It gives a cleaner look as opposed to having the rear seats. Another plus is not having to drill or cut anything. I would highly recommend this product along with some type of tarp to cover up the gas tank sensors so they don't have dirt or anything else near them.

      Great improvement

So it arrived slightly bent at the lower mounting flange, but it bent easily back into place. Kind of makes you wonder how it does anything if it so easily distorts. Not did it only do something for handling it looks awesome when combined with a rear seat delete kit.

Great mod, easy to install, best bang for the buck

Got to be the easiest install I will ever have. Rear seats came out quick, fast and in a hurry, and putting the x brace on didn't even take 2mins.Noticable suspension difference plus it completes the look of the interior.

      Slick, great looking bolt-in install

This is a great handling upgrade to compliment other handling upgrades on your Mustang. It's not going to be a huge seat of the pants feeling if it's done alone. Tied all in together with a strut tower brace, suspension mods, and whatever else you are doing, it's really going to bring everything home. It is quite a vacant hole to fill after removing the rear seats, and while the body is quite a bit better than some older Mustang's I've had, this does tighten up most of the body flex and roll, especially once you start putting the grip to the road. The rear seats are fairly easy to remove on newer Mustang's, which is really nice. Bolting this in is simple, though you will need quite a large T50 torque bit to get the seats out and the brace in. That's about all there is to it. The part oozes quality, looks great and has a nice plate to mount a fire extinguisher or whatever else you'd like to put on it. As for weight, the brace still weighs less than the removal of the rear seats so you'll still be a few pounds ahead. Yes, road noise is more apparent, especially with a loud exhaust, but that's why we drive Mustangs :)

      This product improved handle.

No more sloppy body roll feeling from the rear of the car. It installs really quick if you already have the back seats out. It does not fit with the rear seat delete kit, but after minor modification to the bottom part of the kit, it looks really good. It was a great addition if you run canyons and everyday driving on the roads. No noise comes from it at all.

Upon installing this wonderfully designed peice of excellance, i was abit doubtful of how this would affect my handling (i thought this because this part was designed sooooooo well that it literally just fell into place and was natrually aligned with the holes) however...flying through corners and diviing into hairpins became much more friendly with this brace installed, now that both sides of my rear end are tied together, to both react with eachother in unison, making it much easier, friendlier, and refined. i love this product and i would buy it a thousand times over, i would even go as far as paying more for it

      Thanks AM!

My 2012 GT's main role is road racing and since the "X" brace from Ford Racing came out, I really wanted to add strength in the back but could not justify the price. Steeda's brace is well made, I had no issues to install it with my delete seat and has the right price. I welcome the added rigidity and the quiet rattle free support!

This is great for handling and chassis fanatics

Installing this takes about 10 minutes with the proper tools. You will need to re-use a few bolts, however the install is extremely simple. The bottom part of the seat comes out easily, no bolts. The upper portion is bolted, and that's where the need for tools comes in. It's a few T-50 Torx bolts So, beyond that....what is it like? OK - to start. I have a 2007 GT with lots of bracing in the suspension and chassis already, with urethane bushings and motor mounts, etc. I was needing a way to tie the parcel shelf (and the upper part of the rear wheel wells) in the back to the rest of the body, and this fits the bill perfectly. It's a great price, and if you're serious about handling, this is a great way to tie the inside together in back. The biggest improvement I noticed was in corners going uphill. The look is amazing as well. You can mount items to it with screws. While I have not done anything yet, I have some ideas. Now - there are draw backs to this. Noise is one. You will hear everything the seat blocked - and that is quite a bit. if you're planning on using this in a daily driver, you will seriously want to think about sound dampening. Items in your trunk will be items in your center console if they are small enough and the brakes are applied hard enough at speed. You can't fold this down either.
