Direct Steering Response. When you're driving in the rain you'll need a tire that can handle slick roads. The Sumitomo HTR A/S P02 All Season Tire is designed to offer your Mustang a quick and direct steering response in all weather conditions. This year-round performance tire blends both performance compound materials with the newest all-season tread technology that will drive well in any weather condition.

I was looking at tire reviews and answers reference tires. I am in the process of replacing tires I bought from you as 18 in wheel package. the size you sent me was 255/45r18. but looking at someone question as to fitment for a2006 mustang your response was 235/50r18 item 388807. my mustang is a 2005. so my question is what is correct

      • The 2005 mustang can fit as large as a 275 up front and a 305 in the rear. If you have your Mustang lowered up to 2 inches, we can confirm fitment of 255 up front and 275 in the rear.

      Would it fit a 18x10 rim ?

      • The two sizes available for this tire, 235/50R18 and 255/40R18 would not fit on an 18x10 inch wheel.

Looking to get these tires along with the http://www.americanmuscle.com/blacksaleen-18x9-0510.html. Will the 235/50r18's fit these rims?

      • Hello! 235/50R18's will likely stretch on the 18x9 Saleen Style Black Wheel. We recommend the 245/40R18's for that wheel.

The original tire size for my 2010 Mustang is 215/60-17. Will these throw off the speedometer? I used to drive an F150 for work and the owner changed the tires to a larger tire and it caused the speedometer to be drastically off. 1 answer

          Nice for the price

I was a bit skeptical about this tire but I have learned to love them over the past couple of years. The compound is somewhat soft so the reaction time is a bit delayed, however, I was looking for an improved ride and I think I got it from this tire. Also, there are sipes in the tread that remind me of a winter tire. All in all, I get good traction and not a lot of noise. I like them.

          Solid tires

I bought a second set of 235/55R17 after 2.5 years and 33,000 miles on a full set of 235/50R17. They still have some tread left but I caught too many screws/nails/large pieces of metal and had to retire them after multiple patches and one tire which can not be fixed. Wet weather traction has been great till I passed 30,000 miles, dry tarmac has always been fantastic. I think the moisture in the tire got stripped by the Texas sun as I have have never kept my vehicle inside. The tread pattern isn't pretty, but it is functional. They are really good tires for the price. I have a mustang, but these tires are on my tacoma on 17x8 rims. These tires aren't meant for offroading or sand, but they held their own there too.

          Great tires

Tires are like glue on a hot day. Almost cant break traction. Do a great job in the rain. I definitely cant complain.. Solid tire!

          Good fit for myself.

The tires work well. I'm a couple hundred miles deep, and I haven't experienced any trouble. In the rain I do lose traction on sharp or fast turns, but then again I tend to make those in excess as per my own choice. I would recommend other tires if you don't like to drift. A normal driver would likely be fine with these.

          Good All Season Tire

We haven't had a drop of rain for months, but otherwise, these tires have a quiet, cushy ride with good dry traction. I mounted them myself, and they balanced out easily.

I live in Indiana and I needed all new tires before winter hit , and let me just say these tires handle great in the snow and for the price you can’t beat it . The shipping was quick as well . If you need quality tires for a fair price these are a great choice .

          Better Than Expected

These tires were WAY nicer than I expected, in the picture they looked rather cheap as well as having a very ugly tread pattern. I chose them because as a high school student, I don't have $1000 to spend on tires. Upon arrival I was very impressed, the tread pattern is aggressive and resembles that of a summer tire. Very good purchase and I would buy them again.

          Great everyday winter tires

This is my second set of these all season tires. I run them on the factory rims in the winter/spring months. Averaged about 65,000 miles on the first set. I run them for about 7 months, then switch over to Sumitomo high performance HTR Z II tires on staggered bullitt chrome wheels for the summer/fall. Much cheaper to order them from AM versus buying anything local. I just take them to the local WalMart to be balanced/mounted. Just be careful in the snow. Any A/S tire is going to be puckery on your Mustang.
