How to Install TruShield Tri-Fold Soft Tonneau Cover on your F-150

Installation Time

1 hours

Contents:

(1) - Tonneau Cover
(4) - Locking Pins

It is recommended that you have an additional person available to help during this installation, parts can be awkward to hold and support by yourself. Block wheels and set parking brake before beginning work. Remove the BLACK (-) negative cable from the battery.

Plastic bed liners and plastic bed side trim may need to be trimmed slightly for proper seating of clamps

Lay the tonneau cover on top of the truck bed sides. Align the front of the cover with the front of the bed. Be sure that the plastic clips holding the cover are facing upward and accessible. Unhook the plastic clips and unfold the tonneau cover. Align the tonneau cover on the truck.

Refold the tonneau cover, without moving it side to side and connect the front latches. Insert the latches into the first hole, then back over the hump. Hold the handle horizontally, place the clamp under the bed lip and push the handle to a vertical position. If the handle is not tight enough it can be loosened, then rotated to the right to tighten the clamp and hold the cover securely. Repeat the same procedure with the rear (2) clamps.

Make sure the clamp is secured to the metal bed lip and not just the plastic. If the clamp does not sit securely on the metal the plastic can be trimmed.

Insert a locking pin into the handle lock hole to secure the handles.

Do not operate the vehicle without these locks in place.

Do not operate the vehicle with the tonneau cover folded up.

Make sure everything is secure.
