Review & Install Video
Hey guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com. Today I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the Underseat Storage in black, which is available for all 2009 to 2014 F-150s with the SuperCab or a SuperCrew trim. So in this video, I'll be going over the functionality and benefits that you can expect out of the Underseat Storage in black, as well as all the materials and construction. I'll top the video off with the install, if you can even call it that, which of course, will get a very, very simple one outta three wrenches on our difficulty meter. The Underseat Storage in black will be for any '09 to '14 F-150 owner, whether it's a SuperCab or a SuperCrew F-150, who's looking for a convenient and compact way to store some cargo in the back seats, while saving room for some passengers and pets, as well as getting a very legal way to carry around your guns in your vehicle.
Now obviously, if you're the owner of a SuperCab or a SuperCrew F-150, you might find yourself using the backseats as more of a cargo space instead of a backseat space. Now if that's the case, you have a lotta passengers and pets hopping in and out, it can become a little bit inconvenient to have a lotta stuff crowding up the backseat. Now if that is the case, instead of using the bed, you can use the cargo Underseat Storage that we have here, which is a very, very convenient way to store a lotta your stuff in a very safe and compact place right under the seat, saving a lotta space for your passengers and pets.
Now, the Underseat Storage really can't get too much more descriptive than that. It's a storage place that, you know, hides under your seat. Now, if I tip it up here, you can actually see inside that it's got a lot of different bumps and grooves in here to really safely organize a lot of different things. It's great for, you know, fire extinguishers, jumper cables, things of that nature, or it can even act as a gun case, which I'll talk about in just a second here. What I wanna show you is the different spaces here, you can even see a couple of grooves here, and they do offer dividers that cut off certain compartments in here. You can also see a tie-down strap for convenient locking to make sure it stays into place when it's under your seats. Now when it is under your seats, I do wanna point out this is specifically molded for either the SuperCab or SuperCrew F-150s and, unfortunately, does not work with the factory subwoofer, so that would have to be relocated if you do have that as well.
Now, you can even take this one step further and use this as a safe and secure gun case. Now, it does work with most standard locks. You know, you rest easy knowing that this is secured under your backseats when you're going hunting, if you have a lotta rifles you wanna carry around in here, or you and your buddy wanna store your guns in here while you're in transit. Now, of course, you wanna check with your local laws and regulations, but this does work as a safe and secure gun case, and it is impact-resistant, so you don't have to worry about getting in accidents and having to worry about what's happening to your cargo inside this case.
Now, speaking of that impact-resistant material, this is constructed out of a very, very sturdy polymer, and of course, that is an impact-resistant material. You can expect this to have a rubberized coating on top, so that whatever cargo you do have in here isn't gonna be sliding around everywhere while you're in transit. It'll keep it safe and secure into place. And of course, that is gonna be helped by the sectionals that you have here, included in the kit. I don't have them on the table with me here, but inside the box you'll see different sectionals to really section off this cargo and keep everything tight and secure.
Moving along to pricing here. This is coming in right around the $180 mark, which, in my personal opinion, really isn't too bad of a price for that added storage and safety, especially because it is made of that impact-resistance material. Now, because of that, it is gonna bump the price up just a little bit more. It does have a black finish, which I think blends in with the interior pretty well. Now, if you find yourself using the backseats as storage more than passengers sitting, now, this is gonna come in, I think, really handy here. If this is something that you're looking for, especially if you're using this as a gun case, transporting guns from, you know, your hunting site back to your home, or what have you, this is something that has a lotta bang for your buck, and I think it'd be worth the while.
As far as the installation goes, I'm really not even sure you can call it that, because it really is so simple. All you'd have to do is pop your rear seats up, slide this into place, lock it if you feel necessary, you know, use it for whatever you need to use it for, and every time you wanna use it for storage, you just pop open your seats and you can put them right into place. It really is that simple. There's nothing more to it. You have tie-down straps if you feel necessary. You can use your standard locks or what have you, if you feel that is necessary. And of course, because of the impact-resistance, you don't have to worry about it getting knocked around a lot, especially if you have it locked into place. Overall, it should take you a minute or two for the installation, depending on how much cleaning you have to do in your backseats. But overall, it gets a one outta three wrenches on our difficulty meter. Just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of an '09 to '14 SuperCap or SuperCrew F-150 and you're looking for a convenient and secure way to store some cargo in the backseats without taking up the actual seating for your passengers and pets, you might wanna check out the Underseat Storage or gun case, which is available right here at americanmuscle.com.
