Unleash the Beast. Straight off the show room floor the 2011-2014 5.0L V8 equipped GT Mustangs made an impressive 420 Horsepower and 400 lb/ft of Torque at the crank. However, you can make even more power after installing a VMP GEN II-R 2.3L TVS Stage 1 Supercharger Kit. With this Stage 1 VMP Kit installed you will make over 600 horsepower at the rear wheels allowing you to unleash the beast on the street or the track.

Stage 1 VMP GEN II-R Kit. This Stage 1 Kit comes with a VMP GENII-R 2.3L TVS supercharger, upper and lower intake manifolds, an air-to-water intercooler with pump and lines, a VMP non-fan heat exchanger, a PMAS 120mm cold air intake, a twin 60mm throttle body, a 85mm supercharger pulley making 9psi of boost, OEM Style 56 lb/hr fuel injectors, and a 1st shiv HD belt system with tensioner, belt and idlers.

New High-flow Technology. The VMP GEN II-R supercharger features VMP's GEN II-R Supercharger Design that features a unique inlet and outlet for additional volume and better efficiency to deliver more power and increased fuel economy in a smaller package for uncompromising performance. This uses Eaton's all-new "2nd GEN R" Twin Vortices Series technology (TVS) positive displacement supercharger featuring twin four-lobe rotors that are twisted 160-degrees to greatly enhance thermal efficiency, enabling higher volume capacity, and higher operational speeds.

One Level 1 VMP Custom Tune. When you order this VMP Stage 1 GEN II-R 2.3L TVS Supercharger, you aren't just getting a supercharger - you are getting the supercharger and one Level 1 custom tune file (for an SCT device) that is written specifically for your Mustang and your particular modifications by a VMP Tuning specialist. VMP Tuning even provides one post sale data log review/revision (if necessary) to assure your Pony is running healthy and strong.

Required Upgrade. Installation of this VMP Supercharger will require an SCT Hand Held Tuning Device for operation (not included - sold separately). If you don't already own a SCT Tuner, you can easily purchase one from AmericanMuscle.

Not CARB Certified. This Supercharger Kit is not CARB certified, therefore they are not legal for use in California or any other state adopting California emission standards. Not legal for use on pollution controlled motor vehicles; intended for off road race use only.

Application. This VMP GENII-R 2.3L TVS Stage 1 Supercharger Kit is specifically designed for use on the 2011-2014 GT Mustangs equipped with the 5.0L 4V Coyote V8 engine. Fits both manual and automatic transmissions.

      Does this come with a boost a pump? Is one required?

      • This kit comes with all the components that you will need to run this on your vehicle, except for the SCT Tuner that would need to be purchased separately.

      Kit says it comes with the PMAS 120mm cold air, but the stock picture and the only customer picture show what looks like a JLT. Which one actually comes with this kit?

      What is the difference between the Gen 2 and the Gen 2 R?

      • There is no reference to a Gen2 kit on VMP website, so we can not verify the difference.

          VMP GEN 2R TVS

          I reciently purchased this supercharger kit from AM , first of all I would like to say that the customer service between AM and VMP was spot on. I must have been one of the first customers to buy this kit from AM because some of the links provided for my vmp tune did not work but a quick call to AM and everything was squared away. With that I was instructed to contact VMP directly and get the tune started. I was told my wait time would be about 5-7 business days, my tune came in 2 business day which was great! Actual shipping of the kit took 4 business days although both can depend on volume of customers so I may have gotten lucky. The packaging of the delicate parts was great everything was packed in solid foam that was made for the part to fit directly into but, my package was received with a 2” hole in the side after opening I figured out it was from the idler pulley bracket which had little protection on it. The bracket was completely fine and NOT damaged. All of the products seem to be made of high quality heavy duty materials. It took myself and a few friends all of which are mechanically inclined about 20 hours to do. My package did not have any installation directions with it even though it had a empty bag labeled instructions but that was no big deal as you can access them on VMPs website. The only reason I didnt give this kit 5 stars is because the directions for the installation are somewhat hard to understand and at times can be very vague. With some patience and mechanical know how you can do it. Other than that I have put in about 60 miles on the car since the installation, my current mods are this supercharger kit some NGK colder plugs, full Off-road exhaust system and some 275s in the rear . the car absolutely rips I am very pleased with this kit! the drivability is perfect. The car feels and drives just like a normal coyote until you put your foot down. To my astonishment the car actually hooks and goes I assumed there would be some tire spin but was completely surprised when the car just launched no spin at all. And yes the supercharger has an awesome whine! Hope this review helped
