Unleash 315 More Horses. The stock 2011-2014 5.0L 4V Coyote Mustangs came with an awesome 420 Horsepower and 400 lb/ft of Torque from the factory, but with a VMP GEN II-R Stage 2 Supercharger Kit installed that number jumps to an astounding 735 horsepower, that's nearly 315 more ponies over stock! The VMP Stage 2 Kit is able to make its extra power, when compared to the Stage 1 Kit, by upgrading to a 82mm Pulley, 56lb fuel injectors, a VMP Boost-a-pump and a Dual Fan Heat Exchanger.

VMP Custom Tunes. When you order this VMP Stage 2 GEN II-R 2.3L TVS Supercharger, you aren't just getting a supercharger - you are getting the supercharger and one custom SCT email tune that is written specifically for your Mustang and your particular modifications by VMP Tuning. VMP Tuning even provides two post sale data log reviews (if necessary) to assure your Pony is running healthy and strong. A SCT SF3/X3 or SF4/X4 Tuner is required.

Monstrous blower kit, VMP style. This complete package transforms your GT into a track-shredding beast. Kit comes complete with a VMP GEN II-R 2.3L TVS supercharger with black finish, upper and lower intake manifolds, an air-to-water intercooler, a low temp radiator, an oversized coolant degas bottle, a JLT 123mm Plastic cold air intake system, a twin 60mm throttle body with matching spacer, a 82mm supercharger pulley making 10psi of boost, a VMP Boost-a-Pump and Ford OEM Style 56lb/hr fuel injectors.

New High-flow Technology. The VMP GEN II-R supercharger features VMP's GEN II-R Supercharger Design that features a unique inlet and outlet for additional volume and better efficiency to deliver more power and increased fuel economy in a smaller package for uncompromising performance. This uses Eaton's all-new "2nd GEN R" Twin Vortices Series technology (TVS) positive displacement supercharger featuring twin four-lobe rotors that are twisted 160-degrees to greatly enhance thermal efficiency, enabling higher volume capacity, and higher operational speeds.

Required Upgrade. The installation of the included VMP Custom Tune will require the use of an SCT SF3/X3 or SF4/X4 Hand Held Tuner (not included). If you don't already own a SCT Tuner, you can easily purchase one using the option above.

Application. This VMP GEN II-R Stage 2 Supercharger Kit is specifically designed for use on the 2011-2014 GT Mustangs equipped with the 5.0L 4V Coyote engine. Fits both manual and automatic transmissions.

I bought a super charger package from steeda autosports and drove it home yesterday. Today I went to test it, and with all three tunes you gave them, when you get on the gas hard the check engine light comes on,I can reset the tune but it happens again. Do not want to blow up my engine on the second day,any guesses??

  • Tunes for the VMP Stage 2 GEN II-R 2.3L TVS 735HP Supercharger are supplied by VMP, and are not affiliated with AmericanMuscle.com. We are unable to determine what may cause this without the code, but recommend contacting VMP, or Steeda for assistance with data logging to have the tunes corrected.

My car is 2013 with only 21000 miles on it. Would I still need to change the oil pump

MartyMar313

  • When installing the VMP Stage 2 GEN II-R 2.3L TVS 735HP Supercharger it is not required to upgrade the oil pump, however it is a good insurance policy to install an upgraded pump such as the Ford Performance High Volume Oil Pump or Ford Performance High Performance Gerator Oil Pump to ensure you are never short on oil supply volume.

Is the 735HP claim at the crank or at the wheels? Is it safe to run this on a stock internals Coyote engine for an extended period of time?

Cobraman2017

  • Hello! It all depends on the tuner, a more conservative tune will run safer than something that is super aggressive, but truly finding a great tuner is the key. The 735hp claim is to the crank.

What other modification would i need if i have an automatic transmission?

Eric

  • The VMP Stage 2 Gen II 2.3L TVS 735HP Supercharger does not require any additional components for proper functionality. We would recommend a new oil pump and some cooling upgrades such as high flow fans and a radiator, however, they are not required.

Is it possible to create a tune, thats California smog legal?

Riotmaker

  • You would have to contact VMP directly to see if there is anything that can be done to make this kit California legal. In regards to the tune, it all depends on if the tune will help the car function properly with the supercharger.

    VMP gen 2

This is an amazing set up,when you install this it will put a smile on your face! First lets breakdown the instructions for a 2013 and14, the gen 2 fits a lot better for theses cars so the instructions aren't up to date but it puts you in the ballpark of where you need to be. For the non mechanically inclined you might want to take to someone or shop that is! It does take some time to get this installed so give yourself a weekend and when it comes to shipping expect some delays and no feed back from VMP to assure your order was properly made.

It's amazing how the quality of the VMP supercharger kit is. This kit comes with absolutely everything that you need to make your Mustang as fast as you want to be. Justin is very helpful when it comes to tuning your car and their response time is very very fast when you have a concern. I had the blower installed at a local shop called the pony stop here in Southern California and I do recommend so. The quality of is unmatched an American muscle is very helpful when it comes down to having concerns as well. Before you install this kit your car is a Mustang but when you are done it's completely different in a good way. It's really fun to spin third gear in an automatic and that whine is unmatched.

    Huge increase in power!

Going from a car with a Boss 302 intake, JLT CAI and 85mm BBK TB plus tune to this set up is like night and day. The install is rather lengthy, especially doing it by yourself. The power difference is a lttle scary to say the least. This set up will turn your car into a beast on the street! Directions on the install are some what vague for the average shade tree mechanic, but just make sure you read through each section thoroughly before you start wrenching... The only real challenge I encountered was getting the cooling system for the inter cooler flowing properly. Like the instructions say the system can trap air in it and stop the proper flow/circulation. Another thing worth mentioning some of the vacuum lines on the back of the SC will be very difficult to install if you try to install them after you mount the SC. Make sure you have the right tools to remove the casting bosses and dry fit the tensioner bracket before you move on in the install, it will make your life a whole lot easier. Haven't had it dyno'd yet, but it is a monster for acceleration!!!!

    FUN!

I've had this kit on my 2011 GT for about 3 weeks now. The kit is awesome! Justin from VMP has been very helpful during the datalogging process and you can tell he really cares about his customers, especially the picky ones like me (Sorry Justin!! haha). I have 20" Forgestar F14s with Nitto NT555R radials in the back and the car hooks up really nicely in second gear. The powerband is super smooth all the way to redline and this thing just keeps on pulling, even over 100mph its amazing. Can't say enough great things about the kit.

    Hellcat killer

I had been debating what to do in order to gain more horse power for my pony. I finally decided on a Supercharger. After much research of various brands I decided on this one. Reasons? More bang for the buck! My friend an I installed it in two days taking our time to make sure everything was correct. The installation took place on a military base (I'm retired military) at the auto hobby shop. The young GI's were intrigued. After the install was complete I made a joke about going hunting for a Hellcat. Well about three months later one pulled up next to me on a divided hiway. We were running wheel to wheel and hit the go fast pedal at the same time. I down shifted to 5th gear. That was a mistake as I should have went to fourth. Still not a problem since I was a fender length in front when we shut if down. No I do not advocate doing this unless on a track. I highly recommend this Blower and American Muscle for all your performance needs.
