      Tough 2mm Lucite. Lucite is another name for acrylic, a tough polycarbonate material that is transparent, light-weight, shatter-resistant and a suitable alternative to glass. This material is especially suited for protection against hard substances such as rocks. When the Ford F-150 truck is moving fast then the impact of the rocks hitting the car is significantly reduced by the shock absorbent Plexiglas. The 2mm thick Lucite combines the light mass to produce an affordable design. An additional smoked tint provides an unattractive environment for insects thereby reducing the likelihood of gooey bugs sticking to your truck.
