SHR Mustang Billet Climate Control Knobs (05-06) - Installation Instructions

The below installation instructions work for the following products:

The following instructions are for the installation of the 2005-2006 S197 Satin and Chrome Mustang Billet Climate Control Knobs from SilverHorse Racing.

NOTE: Please read the installation instructions completely before starting.

Tools Required:

• Allen Wrench (included)
• Pliers (optional)

Attention: Failure to follow instructions may result in damage of this product. SilverHorse Racing products nor AmericanMuscle will not be responsible for improperly installed Climate Control Knobs.

Installation:

1. With the vehicle off, in park or neutral and with the parking brake set on a flat, level surface, begin by turning all three controls to the 12 o’clock position. Grasp the knobs firmly one at a time with pliers if needed, and pull straight away from the head unit, being careful to not dislodge the shifter or accidently release the emergency brake. Slight wiggling from left to right may aid in removal.


2. Install new knobs, aligning flat of D-clip with flat on shaft. Push firmly until knob surface is flush with climate control face and rotating freely like original knobs. Test for proper operation. If knob can be pulled off too easily, slight adjustment of the set screw using supplied allen wrench may be required. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the clip.
