BBK 80mm Throttle Body - Race (86-93 5.0L)

Gain Power; Improve Throttle Response. If you have a forced induction setup in your 5.0L Mustang but are still running a stock throttle body, you're choking your performance Pony where it matters most. Unlike the restrictive factory throttle body, a free-flowing BBK Power Plus throttle body will let your engine breathe easier for maximum power and improved throttle response.

80MM Bore. Your stock throttle body is a restrictive 56mm, choking off airflow and keeping your Mustang from giving you all it has. This BBK throttle body features a generous, free flowing 80mm single bore design that is perfect for heavily modified and forced induction race applications.

CNC Machined Aluminum. BBK throttle bodies are cast from high quality, lightweight 356 aluminum alloy that is finished using CNC machining to ensure a precision fit. They feature double-sealed bearings, o-ringed throttle shafts, and precision die-stamped linkages to ensure a long life and maximum performance for your Pony.

Bolt-On Installation. The BBK Throttle Body is designed for a straightforward installation and includes all necessary hardware. It is designed to reuse the factory throttle body gasket for an easy installation.

Application. This BBK 80mm Throttle Body is designed for use on 1986 to 1993 Mustangs equipped with the 5.0L EFI engine, including the LX 5.0, GT and SVT Cobra models. Intented for heavily modified or supercharged Mustangs only, stock or mildly modified 5.0L's do not flow enough air to benefit from this larger throttle body.

Technical Note. This BBK product is not legal for use in emission restrictive states. There is no EGR Spacer currently available from BBK for this 80mm throttle body, intended for race applications only.
