The BBK Cold Air Intake kit completely replaces your 1996-1998 Cobra or 2001 Bullitt Mustang's restrictive stock factory air box and paper filter element with a high flow BBK filter assembly for a noticeable increase in horsepower and acceleration while providing filtration of harmful power robbing dust particles. The BBK CAI pulls cooler denser air from inside the fender well to make more power that you can feel.

Reusable Filter. BBK designed the high flow cotton air filter to be reusable. So no need to go out and buy a new filter every few thousand miles. Just clean the filter, re-oil it, save money, and go!

Bright Chrome Finish. The BBK CAI not only improves your Cobra's or Bullitt's horsepower and acceleration, but improves your mustangs under hood appearance with a strikingly beautiful chrome finish. You'll be sure to attract attention at all the car shows with this jewel under the hood.

Great product, can feel a difference, and looks great under the hood. On hard accelleration, there is a nice whistle too it (normal). Install was simple, it is VERY snug under the strut tower brace, on some bumps, it knocked the brace and dinged the chrome, but whatever. I eventually took a dremel to part of the strut tower brace that i saw was actually digging into the CAI (NOT the actual brace tube and put rubber hose around the brace where it knocked, now it is safe from harm...It is worth the work, as many kits require you to remove the brace.

I found the instalation to be kind of difficult im not much of a car guy but my good friend is so i took it to him. He just couldnt believe the trouble putting in first of all i have a 97 svt cobra convertible . first of all my car had a crossbar running across the engine so we had to loose that enough to get it to give a little. The second problem we ran into was installing the air filter under the front quarter panel therw was no way to fit it in through the top so we had to remove all of the wheel whell inside panels boy what a pain in the you know what to get to that to clean the filter luckily i dont drive the car that much so it should last a long time before i will have to get to it again.. Im not giving it a bad review because i lovve the product and it works awesome amercan muscle is a great company to deal with very trustworthy and knowligable the chrome pipes make a great bling addition too all im saying is that if you have a 97 cobra like mine just plan on allowing a little extra instalation process because there was alot more involved than it should be. thanks to my friend mark he is very patient and knowledgable and got it installed and it looks great and i would recommend it to a friend . thanks again oh and one more thing the bolts that come with it could be a little longer we ended up running to the hardware store and purchasing a little bit longer ones just for peace of mind chrome ones to so it doesnt ruin the appearance thanks again and good luck

This intake was a great choice for my mustang it gave it a little louder sound when accelerating fast and it also gave it more power. I would give this intake an 8 out of 10. It was a tight fit under the strut bar but it does fit.
