Will there be enough back pressure? I have a 95 Mustang Gt, and if I install this H-pipe will there be enough back pressure and low end torque?

  • You will probly lose a little back pressure but it will help with the high end horsepower.

  • These are for shorties. The ones for the long tubes cut about where the hangers are on these and do not have the up pipes as shown in the picture

Is it true that the H-pipe gives you more of a louder and a deeper sound then the X-pipe?

PATRICK95GT

  • My experience is that with the h-pipe you will have the deeper rumble moreso than the x-pipe. To me, the x-pipe is very raspy and takes away from the deep throaty tone of an h-pipe, just my opinion. But either way, if you are going with an off road h pipe it will be considerably louder, without the rasp like an x-pipe.

    Well worth the trouble

This product will make your Mustang sound like it should and turn heads. My install was tougher and a LOT longer because somewhere before I owned the car, part of the passenger side front flange was connected with a rusted bolt/nut making my stock pipe a real PITA to kill. Aside from that, every other bolt, the O2 sensors and air tube clamp came off pretty easy. If your considering buying this I can tell you that you'll have a grin from ear to ear on your first trip after install. I don't know anyone that has any other brand O/R H-pipe but I've also never heard anything negative about a BBK. My 8 year old son wants me to include that he thinks it's "cool" and "loud" so there's another good review right there.

    nice

The h-pipe rattles against the car and came with a rubber hose to attatch the egr crap. In my opinion there should be a better way to attatch a piece of exhaust pipe than using a rubber hose.... other than that the sound quality is AMAZING compared to the stock H-pipe. For two hundred dollars they should give you better hardware.

    Great Buy

This is a great product. I pulled off the stock h-pipe and man what a difference just in the weight. The sound of my car now is awesome, the way a mustang should sound like. They were pretty straight forward and basic to put on. I would buy from this brand and company again.

    very deep tone

Great product. I had bought my 95 GT and had a pair of flowmaster super 44's installed. I was disappointed for a few weeks and knew I had to do something regarding a midpipe, and as a student on a budget I came across the bbk o/r h. Long story short--no engine light, easy install, and mean/beastly growl! Even a year later, I smile and blush a little when I jump on throttle! Does the 5.0 good!

    nice mod

This H pipe gave my car a good bit more of an aggressive tone. It gave a sharper, crisper tone to my car. The most noticeable difference is the sound quality above two thousand rpms. i would def recommend this upgrade to accent a good cat back system.

    Great product!

AMAZING product. I installed this to go with my Magnaflow Magnapacks it sounds amazing. I could feel a little more power in the top end, not anything significant though. Maybe a little bit of torque lost at the lower end but im not complaining. Install was fairly easy. biggest trouble was getting the airtube out of the stock h pipe. I would recommend this product to anyone def. worth the money.

    Nice H Pipe.

Sound difference is amazing. I didn't notice any torque loss at all. Only real complaint was that the passenger side pipe was about an inch off of where it should of been on the header collector. I had to wrestle around with it for about an hour till i got it seated on there finally. Also use full threaded bolts on the back clamps as the ones it comes with run out of threads before it gets all the way tight. The supplied hose for the smog pump was the perfect size for my car.

    Offroad H pipe

Overall a great product. I had a little trouble with fitting. The ball and socket setup could have been better. I had to hammer and dolly into shape to get it to seal. Besides that it sounds amazing with the Flowmasters.

    Good replacement from factory exhaust

The welds weren't the best but for 200$ it's a deal. This install took me all day because I had to cut off the emissions pipe and weld it shut. My car sounds more raspy but has a little drone. Defientley would recommend over factory.

Pretty nice pipe with some caveats

The pipe overall is nice for the price. Fitment for the most part was good, but there are some caveats! I worked with American Muscle and BBK on the balance tube looking badly cut out and they confirmed this is normal. For someone spending $200 on a pipe that probably took 5 minutes to jig up, this kind of doesn't sit well, but it makes no difference on performance. The ends to the catback seem flared out more than prior models so my catback needs to be flared out more to mate up (my other BBK pipe was not like this)
