Amazing!

Just installed the Boss H-Pipe and I absolutely love it. The sound is amazing with the baffles removed. Its not obnoxiously loud at all but it still sounds like you wouldn't want to mess with it. Installation

Boss Quad Exhaust

I love this exhaust on my 2013 GT combined with my Borla S-Type axlebacks. It definitely gave it a louder, deeper tone. I also removed the restrictor plates from the side pipes, which really woke it up.

Tune Required? Does this change the exhaust pressure to the extent that a tune is required or can this be a simple bolt-on to a stock 2012 5.0?

  • A tune is not required for this exhaust. I helped a friend install this on his Mustang and it went very smooth. No problems as of yet and it's been a few thousand miles since the installation. To answer your question, a tune isn't necessary with this exhaust. A tune will probably get your vehicle the most performance out of this exhaust tough.

will this fit with long tube headers? im wondering if this will fit with long tube headers and a catted shorty x pipe or if this would be in place of the x pipe? i love the idea of side port exhaust but i was thinking of also doing long tube headers one day

Phaedrus Year: 2011 Model: GT

  • This BOSS Style Exhaust includes an H-pipe, which would be in place of an X-pipe. This kit reuses your stock cats and fits with Shorty Headers or Stock Manifolds. Unfortunately, it's not compatible with Long Tube Headers.

    Amazing!

Just installed the Boss H-Pipe and I absolutely love it. The sound is amazing with the baffles removed. Its not obnoxiously loud at all but it still sounds like you wouldn't want to mess with it. Installation took about 2hrs. Ford put the flanges upside down making it very hard to get to and also I had to use a lift because my car is very low. Once the stock H-pipe comes off its all down hill extremely easy install. I wouldn't recommend this because I want to be the only one with a badass exhaust note ;)

It's definitely awesome, but seems overpriced for what you get.

This is what I want to hear!

Had a shop do the install with the QTP electric cutouts, but honestly If I had a real workspace I would have done the install myself as it was pretty straight forward (you can do it!) I have a convertible; so I headed off to the hardware store before hitting the shop to purchase the longer bolts that are needed to clear the extra bracing in front of the rear wheels. you will see the tips if your a yard or so away looking from the side of the car, but not when your standing against the vehicle. the cutouts give me the best of both worlds, i can run them unrestricted, as they sound DEEP n Burbly; and glorious at WOT! or close em up, and remain anonymous. (well as anonymous as a suped vert stang can get)They are a lot louder than just having the stock exhaust on the car, but I already had the Roush A/B's on so only a little louder than that. The A/B's and the Side exhuast make for one of the best sounding muscle cars i've ever heard (straight pipes excluded), and they can be quiet unrestricted if you creep around but having electric cutouts makes it easier if your shy sometimes.

    Growl at a Camaro

I helped my son with the installation and we were finished in a little over an hour. We used a compressor to speed things along. The bolt for the ball clamp will take a 5.5 millimeter socket instead of using the hex head. It will speed things up a lot! Sounds great!

    FANTASTIC GROWL!!!

As soon as I saw this exhaust, I knew I had to have it on my 2012 GT Vert. My brother and I had it installed in a few hours and it went flawlessly, the only difficult part was getting the correct bolts and spacers to fit the side pipe to the convertible bracing. I chose not to use the baffles either and man, does it give my car that mean growl and crackle paired with my Hushpower A/B. Another fantastic part offered by AM, that's why I don't chose any place else!

    Sounds Great!

I love this exhaust piece! With Borla Stinger axlebacks and the restrictor plates removed, it has that full-bodied sound that I would expect from a Trans-Am! Installation took an hour thirty minutes (new to this whole modding buisness) and it fit perfectly.

    best sound for your 5.0

I didn't buy it through AM, but I wanted to review it here since I highly recommend installing it. It made my coyote sound so good. I was honestly a little disappointed in the stock exhaust note in my '11 GT but this really woke it up. I can't help but keep my foot in it almost all the time, and downshifting to every stop light. I plan on replacing the axleback exhaust soon as well, I'm thinking either GT500, Roush, or Heartthrob muffler delete.

    Perfect Sound!

Ever since this product was released, I had my eye on it. Now that I have it installed, along with the Roush axleback exhaust, I absolutely love the way my car sounds. It is not as loud as I expected that combo to be. Since the car is a daily driver, I couldn't deal with any drone, or it being obnoxiously loud and I don't have issues with either. I have the baffles removed and plan on keeping it that way. Quality, fit and finish are top notch. The only negative thing in my mind is the price.

Installed with QTP electric cutouts & wireless remote...best of both worlds!!! Stock sound when you need to keep the peace, and loud when you want it.

    I love it

I installed these easily in less than an hour, on a lift. It was a perfect OEM fit. I didn't struggle with any part of the installation. The sound is striking...no other word comes to mind. I left the restrictor plates out and with otherwise stock exhaust, I am very impressed with the quads. The car seems a lot louder, but I am basically sitting on top of the outlet now. I'm sitting on the Eibach sportline kit and there is plenty of room for these pipes. The fit and quality of these pipes are outstanding...I am very happy with my choice.
