A nice add-on

A great add-on to the Boss or GT/CS Fascia. Lots of holes to drill, but it's otherwise very straight forward. Just watch out for speed bumps and curbs if your car is lowered.

How can I now if my 2012 GT 5.0 is a California Special ? I'm interesting in to get the Boss 302 splitter. Thanks

  • Hi, The easiest way to tell if you have a California Special is to call your local Ford dealer and give them your VIN and ask them if its a CS, If you do not have a CS we do offer a Ford Performance BOSS/CS Style Lower Front Fascia Item #52998 needed to install this Ford Performance BOSS 302 Front Splitter. Here is the link http://www.americanmuscle.com/cs-boss-lower-fascia-gt.html

Will this fit my car? If not can I get the same price for my car

  • It will not fit unless you have the boss/cs style front fascia, i learned the hard way, so i got the fascia with foglights and wired the lights in with the existing factory fogs., it looks sweet. and really is an easy install

    Boss 302 splitter

This little add-on makes a world of difference to the appearance of the car. Combined with the Boss 302 lower fascia it looks 100% better than the stock front end. Installation was a snap although there are a lot of holes to drill. Since it's an OEM Ford part the quality of fit and finish was perfect. The splitter really complements Roush side skirts as it sits at about the same level and gives a really nice look moving from the front to the side of the car. I highly recommend this part, but please don't buy it because I want my 'stang to stand out!

Nice touch to an otherwise ho-hum front end!

First I purchased the CS/BOSS chin spoiler for a more aggressive look, but then I realized I wanted more so made the jump to the splitter. Couldn't be happier. Lots of drilling, suggest a helper and getting the nose off the ground,(I had access to a hoist) but a do it yourself job it is. The reward for the hour plus of frustration is quickly compensated and forgotten. A/M is the bomb!! Great service and delivery to Canada is quick and effortless, however the shipping can be a bit of a heavy touch.

    Boss 302 Splitter

Looks great on car. My car is lowered 1 inch and you have to be very careful in parking lots. The splitter and Fascia are not the same texture or color, does not really match. Not all that noticeable. There are a lot of holes to drill. I have seen the new Boss 302 and their splitter looks the same as mine.

    GOTTA LOVE THIS LOOK

It looks so good. My buddy who has a vette and hates splitters even said he thought it looked awesome so do yourself a favor and get the boss/GT CS front valence and then get this splitter it looks so mean, and actually makes the car look lowered even though it is still at the stock ride height, at least for now...

Intimidating installation, but well worth it!

This piece will require you to drill 26 holes under the front bumper / fascia, however the instructions that come with the part are incredibly helpful. Take your time, make sure you measure 3x, drill 1x. Once installed, it completes the race look of the front fascia. There is no way it's coming off while driving either. Looks fantastic. I get compliments daily!

    Easy to install

This product went on in less than an hour with simple mechanics tools. Easiest was was to take off the entire front fascia of the car, flip it over, drill a few holes, pop in some screws, and slap the fascia back on in no time. Fits great, looks even better.

The splitter was recived in excellent condition, and was a great addition to my vehicle

Splitter was very easy to install and included all of the hardwear and excellent instructions to complete the installation. Care must be taken to line up the splitter with your lower fascia, follow the installation instructions to the letter and you will not have any problems. Be certain that you have all of the tools ready to perform the installation be for you start the job including a number of spring clamps to keep the splitter alig. while you drill the lower fascia. It helps to have an extra pair of hands to complete the job! This splitter does work, it kept the front end of my GT planted during the Mojave Mile at speeds over 140MPH

    Boss 302 Front Splitter

Not much to say, other than, I couldn't be happier! The amazing new look, and constant compliments I get, far exceed the time and effort it takes to install. Which basically just takes time, and a bit of drilling. But boy is it worth it!

    boss 302 splitter

Install of this item is a pain, you will need at least 2 people to help. Requires that you drill 26 holes underneath the car. Once install was completed, I felt of the splitter and its definitely not going anywhere. Looks wise. I love it and would recommend it to anyone willing to go through the install process. I gave this item a 8 out of 10 just due to install being the pain it is.

    Very Sharp Looking Perfect Fit

Being a factory part the Splitter fits perfectly. There are a lot of holes to drill but all are through plastic so it is very simple and straight forward. With all the right tools it takes less than a half an hour. A second set of hands is very helpful for holding the part while you mark and drill. It really transforms the front of the car. Only regret is not getting it sooner. Thanks AM for the super fast shipping, it came to my house two days after I ordered it!

Love the look, but don't let the instructions fool you. THIS IS NOT A ONE MAN INSTALL, using the clamps won't work. That being said, it looks amazing.

    Overall good

Finish and overall quality is great. Really well made. Negatives: slight color variation from my cs fascia. Both are ford parts so idk why. All the hardware was included but ford put it in a really thin bag and it busted during shipping. When i opened the box they spilled out and it took me about 20 mins to find them. And install instructions from ford weren't very detailed. And trust me take the bumper off the car and have a second set of hands when making ur template. Use some good wood clamps to secure the splitter to the fascia and triple check the lineup of all holes before you drill also a couple of saw horses to hold the bumper is a good idea. I had issues keeping it in place while drilling. Its a good idea to drill the outer most bolt holes first install the bolts recheck alignment and then drill everything else.
