High Performance Replacement. The stock factory plastic coolant tank is prone to failure especially in high temperature situations, that is why Canton engineered their Coolant Expansion Tank from Aluminum making it perfect for high temperature street and race applications.

Superior Construction. Fabricated from high strength lightweight 0.100 aluminum this Canton Coolant Expansion Tank is welded for strength and features a stock style threaded neck allowing you to reuse the stock factory cap and sensor. Completed in a matte finish this tank can be polished to a bright show winning appearance.

Application. This Canton Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank is designed as a direct fit replacement upgrade on all 1987 to 1993 Mustangs equipped with the 5.0L V8 engine including the LX, GT and SVT Cobra models, and reuses the stock factory cap and sensor (cap not included).

    It's Okay... but...

Nice looking piece, seems to be well constructed... However, the fact that you have to re-use the stock cap and there is no aluminum cap that matches the look of the tank is disappointing. The stock cap does the job but takes away from the overall look of the item. Also, the tubes running along the back prevent installing the tank flush against the radiator. Therefore a custom bracket has to be fabricated. If the tubes ran along the side of the tank this may work out better.
