Classic Retro Styling. Complete the retro inspired styling of your S197 Mustang with a Classic Design Concepts Three Piece Ducktail spoiler. The ducktail spoiler was originally featured on the early GT500's and looks great on the modern Mustang.

Hard Mounts. Classic Design Concepts designed their ducktail spoiler to mount securely to the rear deck lid of your 2005-2009 S197 Mustang with a combination of 3M acrylic bonding tape and bolts to increase the durability of the spoiler.

Quality Construction. This Classic Design Concepts three piece rear ducktail spoiler is made from high quality blow molded ABS plastic for its lightweight and durable properties.

Application. This Classic Design Concepts Ducktail Spoiler is designed to fit all 2005 to 2009 S197 Ford Mustang coupes including the V6, GT, and Shelby GT500.

Technical Note. This CDC ducktail spoiler will not cover the holes left by the stock factory spoiler. AmericanMuscle recommends professional installation of all body parts. We also recommended test fitting these products before they are painted.

This is a GREAT looking product for your Mustang if you are looking for something else beside the standard rear spoiler/ wing that is on most. The lightweight plastic design of this product is durable. The instructions provided are clear and easy to follow. The cut-outs used to locate the holes for drilling are accurate. There are (2) holes to be drilled on the (2) spoiler end pieces and (6) holes for the spoiler center piece. You will pilot drill all holes with a 1/8" bit and then drill all with 5/16" bit. You will need a 1/2" bit for (4) holes at (2) the ends of the spoiler center section. These holes are drilled from the inside of the trunk lid and capped with the provided parts. The center section of the spoiler covers the 3rd (cyclops) brake light. You'll have to disconnect that light. (Hint: just pull the light bulb out of the socket which was easy to do. You can gently pop-off the access cover with a flat tip screwdriver to gain access.) I had to remove the plastic cover inside the trunk on the latch side. This was easy. There is a nylon fastener at each side of the left and rear interior trunk fabric panels that must be removed so you can fold back these fabric panels. You can use a forked tool or a good set of pliers to remove them. They required a little elbow grease to remove. All in all because I was nervous about drilling into sheet metal and moved real slow as a result, it took me 2 hours. (Hint: make sure you use sharp drill bits. Don't lean too hard on the drill bit or you will go through the other side of the trunk lid.)

After I ordered I realized that this spoiler was actually more different then the Cervinis than I expected. Turns out I am very glad. It looks absolutely awesome. Sure, the other brand does also but this is one is very sleek, low profile and gives a totally different look. Similar to a spoiler delete from the side but just enough to give it that extremely cool look. The back though is where the look really makes a difference in the " tough " category. Long post but wanted to make sure everyone understands the opportunity to have a total different look
