Description
Cobra Stopping Power. Let's face it the stock brakes found on the V6 and GT Mustangs leave something to be desired. So upgrade your Pony's weak factory braking system to the same powerful one found on the SVT Cobra, Mach 1, and Bullitt Mustangs with this complete brake conversion upgrade kit.

Complete Kit. This conversion brake upgrade kit includes all the parts needed to upgrade your Pony's front and rear brakes to Cobra braking specs with no need to make a trip to the Ford Parts Department.

Application. This Ford Racing Complete Cobra Brake Kit is designed to upgrade your 1994 to 2004 V6 or GT Mustang's brakes to the same stopping power as the mighty SVT Cobra.Technical Note. 1994 to 2004 Mustangs will require the use of 17" or larger Wheels to clear these calipers.

If you plan on adding dramatic power gainers to your pony then this should be a must on the list as well. The rotors are significantly larger, and as stated in other reviews overall stopping distance

    A Definite Must Have

    It\'s a lot of money, but upgrading your brakes to the Cobra standard can be a life saver. Don\'t let anyone tell you different though, you must install the Cobra master cylinder to reap full braking performance, otherwise the pedal will be too hard, the brakes won\'t lock up, and the anti-locks won\'t engage. The bore size on the SN95 Cobra master cylinder is 15/16\" instead of 1 1/16\" for the GT. The smaller size creates more brake assist for the larger caliper/rotor combo you just installed. Additionally, the thread sizes on the two MC ports are reversed, so you need to buy the Cobra brake lines that connect the master cylinder to the proportioning valve, or swap the fittings on the existing lines.

    If you plan on adding dramatic power gainers to your pony then this should be a must on the list as well. The rotors are significantly larger, and as stated in other reviews overall stopping distance is greatly improved. Of you get a cobra master cylinder from Centric then there is 0 modifications need to the lines between the MC and the proportioning block. Awesome product if you like being able to stop!

    Great Modification for Stock GT

    This should have been a standard option on all GTs. My stopping distance has been greatly reduced. They look great and the stopping performance is just awesome. This is definitely one of my favorite mods on my Stang so far!

    Nice Package

    This brake set should have been standard on all GTs. If you are going to run hard and fast, then the Cobra brake kit is a small price to pay for safety.
